  1. Make sure you really "know" the form before performing it - not just know the moves but understand them too. "Become" that form. Make sure that you present yourself with confidence too - if you look confident and look to the judges like you know what you're doing then half the battle is won already!
  2. Sorry to hear that. My condolances to his family.

  11. IMO, trying to dismount someone on horseback with a flying kick is ridiculous. Flying kicks may hve been used to cover ground (or even to leap over obstacles) but to dismount a rider?? I'm a horserider and I'd like to see anyone try to take me off my horse with a flying kick. Even if I was stationary there would be little chance of it happening. The old "TKD is for knocking people off horses" thing is a bit daft IMO.
  12. Just out of interest, why do you need a guard for one eye? If it is because of injury then you perhaps need to look on medical sites or contact your doctor.
  13. I have an embroidered Shureido satin belt for karate. I figured that I was gonna be a Dan grade for a lot longer than I was a kyu grade, so I might as well treat myself to a nice belt! I like it but I don't think I'll buy another expensive belt for when I get to 1st Dan in TKD. Spending a lot of money on one satin BB is enough for me. I'll most likely stick to cotton belts when I get to BB in TKD, as it will be cheaper.
  14. Pro-Force, Blitz and Kwon all do cheaper but decent gi. Maybe you could check out Century too. I know they get a lot of flak, but some of their stuff is decent.
