Just as an update, I will be leaving for England on Monday the 8th. I will be living in Fareham, which looks like a nice place as I was there checking out living arrangements. I have contacted several dojos and m looking forward to training again, (been away from training for a couple of months getting ready for the move. My family follows on the 18th, then it is an all out race getting ready for Christmas

Thanks for your replies, I will check these sites out.
  3. Hello all, I am not sure if this is the right place for this or not. If not, could someone please move it for me. I am going to be leaving Canada and moving over to the UK some time this fall. It involves a job transfer. I currently study a style that is based on shotokan. I will be around the Gosport area when I get there. Are there any schools that can be recommended, or any that it would be advisable to stay away from? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to mention any names in public. Thanks for your time. George
  4. Good luck to you. I hope you enjoy your experience.

I usually do kata or any techniques I am working on at home in the rec room. I also have a heavy bag set up in my garage
  7. Good luck on your testing
  8. My parents never trained, but my son trains with me. Does that count?
  9. Good luck to you. BTW, do you mean your test takes 21 days to complete? or am I reading wrong.
  10. Last night I was awarded my blue belt. I was very surprised to get it. Now more work ahead and higher expectations.
  11. Congratulations on passing your exam
