I was wondering today. is there such types of dojos that welcome all martial artists to train there regardles of style? im mean there has to be such a dojo that would complement all or almost all martial art style there is, and allow martial artists to learn from other martial artists that also come there to improve there skill. so is there such a dojo that will let you train there regardless of your style? i know its better to go to a dojo that teaches the martial art style you are training in, but still a dojo that would allow you to train there regardless of style would sound like a pretty good thing on one level.so do these types of dojos exist?

I was wondering, do grappling arts such as BJJ and judo really have kata in them, or does grappling have no kata?

I would say krav maga & BJJ would be great to.

to tell the truth guys i did find a good martial art school close to were i live that teaches shorin-ryu karate. the leniage traces back to choshin kibana and you get 1 private lession plus 7 weeks of training. the training last 7:30 to 8:15 thats 45 min long and theres also a place at the entrence were your parants can stay and watch you train.the sensies nice an soft spoken, so if i decide to go then self teaching might no longer be a optian.so thanks guys.

the class is 45 minutes monday thru thursday from 7:00 pm to 8:15 pm. but im not really sure when they give you to a higher kyu,im just guessing, sorry for any misunderstanding.thanks guys.

they do give you a colour'd belt if you do well plus they even give you 1 private lesson before the 7 weeks of training just to see if you like the shorin-ryu karate.

alright guys i got more info on this school and the liniage of this shorin-ryu karate school is choshin chibana, plus they also belive that in order to under stand this form of karate--shorin-ryu-- it takes time and that is why the school gives 7 weeks of training. and i agree. but what do you guys think? thanks guys.

it says on the ad papers they gave me okinawa karate-do. the rest like shorin-ryu karate i reconized because of the pach on the sensi's karate gi. but i think i'll ask them myself just for the heck of it, plus the karate school i,ll check it out somemore and i'll see what else i can post up. thank guys and i put up the pole just for the heck of it. thanks

hey guys i found a great karate school in denbegh,VA and i think its great. they have a big wooden training ground, plus they have a place were the parents of the students can sit down and watch as there kids train. the sensi seems very nice and soft spoken, and the kids seem to have a lot going for them to. the karate style they teach is shorin-ryu karate and you get 1 free private lesson plus seven weeks of training, and you get a free uniform and its all for $77.00. so what do ya'all think, is it good or what. thanks

learn TKD before Hapkido? try checking out martialinfo.com an see what other Hapkido schools there are. because you don't need to know one MA style just to learn the other. that crazy talk coming from that instuctor.
