I like northern praying mantis kung fu. because the combined awearness and flexibility make it what i think is a effective kung fu,with the fact that 95% of all attackers use the elemint of surprise,i think northern praying mantis kung fu is a pretty good kung fu style. NOT that im downing the others i just like northern praying mantis kung fu.

i was wondering if a person starts MA by self teaches themselves a martial art style, than is it safe to say that this martial art style is there first style of the martial arts or not? i belive you sould go to a real MA school to learn, but still,if you begin self teaching yourself a martial art style, than is it safe to say that that martial art style is you first or not?

you all know praying mantis kung fu combines awearness and flexibility, and one of the reason i see praying mantis kung fu as a effective martial art;not that im downing other martial art styles, but i like praying mantis kung fu for it's awearness, because sence 99.9% of all thugs use the element of suprise i see praying mantis kung fu as one of the most effective martial art styles out there in the world. if only there were more martial art schools that thaught styles like jiu-jitsu and krav maga and pankration. but what are ya going to do? thanks for your time.

i was wonder about online martil arts schools, and if they are no more differint than learning from a book or are there some benifits? i know its better to learn from a real school, but can online martial art schools be the same as going to a real martial arts school or is it like learning from a book.
