Most effective Kung Fu
Hybrid replied to sansoouser's topic in Kung Fu, JKD, Wing Chun, Tai Chi, and Chinese Martial Arts
Bajiquan. It emphasizes development in many of parts of the body. From what I know, it is the most complete Kung Fu art in that sense. As with all arts, it lacks things. Particularly the knees. Second is Sanshou or Wing Chun. -
OK,, has anyone had this experience??
Hybrid replied to RobinT830's topic in Instructors and School Owners
Yeah, that's true. I guess it depends on the kind of class you have. -
Hmm... I think either google is down or my computer has some problem. Can someone go to google.com and tell me what it says? I always get a CPanel error "There is no website configured at this address." Along with any other website powered by google. I get on odd feeling it's my comp though. Thanks.

Really? I didn't know that. I always check ESPN/2 and sometimes I can find Muay Thai/Boxing fights but never other arts. hmm... any idea what time about? *checks tv guide*

Yes, good question. What did you think? I have no first hand experience with aikido's use of the bokken. Just what I've read in books, magazines, internet etc.

Hey, Jey. When you get more information, mind sending me a PM with the info? I'd maybe like to add this art and it's info to my "library." Thanks.

I disagree. Rather than announce it to the class, take him aside when not many people are around and tell him. I'm sure everyone (as you've said) knows he has the problem. Telling everyone like (even if it's a "general announcement") that I'm sure will cause people to look at him, possibly make comments i.e. "Here that ____? hahaha." I know I'd be very embarrassed if I was him, although I'd never allow myself to have that problem. Granted, I'm no teacher. -
Well, not kendo or iaido unless you plan to carry a sword around (Iaido is fighting without drawing the sword I think so.. I dunno about that). TKD, wouldn't really go with (especially if it's WTF). Karate, wushu, aikido, tai chi etc. need to know what style. Boxing and JJ- Best ones so far IMO. Capoeira- Don't know much about this art, watched a documentary on it, didn't see anything too special... except the razor blade between the toes thing... that's effective I bet. Of course, it all depends on the school. Just my opinions.

effective ma for sd
Hybrid replied to mmafighter34's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
That post was rather annoying to read. Anyway... Since you're considering cross-training, one of these... Muay Thai Krav Maga Jeet Kune Do Kyokushinkai Karate Kenpo Karate Kick Boxing Boxing with... BJJ -
Starting a new MA
Hybrid replied to aefibird's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
BJJ, JJ, Judo. -
The first thing I think you should do is find what is available in your area. You know, before getting too interested in an art and finding the nearest dojo is 60+ miles away. Anyway, I would look for... Muay Thai Krav Maga Jeet Kune Do Kyokushinkai Karate Kenpo Karate Hapkido Kuk Sool Won Kick Boxing Boxing Good luck. And like everyone said, make sure you find a good teacher and whatnot.

Out of those, A-team for sure.

That back-to-back posting is annoying and not needed or wanted. -

Screwy, ain't it?

What, do you want an award or something? Sorry, but isn't this your second thread on this? I just get a feeling you want some kind of recognition. I don't really believe in rank or belts. So, what is your point exactly? Edit: What I'm getting at is, hasn't this thought already been "pioneered?"

Ah, I love sleep...
