Yellow Belt (2/10)

  1. I Agree with all the possibilities mentioned above, especially the one about swimming since that really gets you into shape. Another great way to improve your shape is to jump rope. I skipping about 10 min a day and that really pays off
  2. "Several times a day" I'm basically stretching every time I don't have anything else to do....like when watching TV or making homework etc. Great way to get some training while doing other more exciting stuff. . It really pays off to strech when watching TV etc. I mean: That's several hours
  3. Wearing weights all day long, will improve your strength (naturally). I've done this myself for about half a year now, but as "searcher" and other said, you'll get injured if you use too heavy weights. Basically if your daily job is to run around and be very active it'll be bad for you, but if you just go around doing nothing, you'll improve your strength and speed. It's like Bretty101 said: You can't move at full speed since that'll be bad for you
  4. It took me about 5-6 years to gain the black belt (Shotokan JKA karate)
  5. well...i would never buy it...like Coudo said: It looks like crap
  6. Welcome
  7. I am well aware that there arent any real shaolin monks left
  8. Hello and welcome
  9. normally i only do 40 at a time, but if i go all out i can take about 120-130
  10. My dojo was closed, so i had to train at homa instead
  11. yup...skipping is a great way to envelop stamina
  12. As often as possible
  13. Yep...that's the way it is done, and if that doesn't work buy a new gum shield
  14. if you dont find a sparring partner, you're boned!....ask your instructor for sparring time, and find one from your class, whom you can spar with
  15. I agree. You have to "fight" the kata, not just performing it
