  8. With a multi-rank set up in class it gives an opportunity to set up teaching and responsibility opportunities for students as they rise in rank to assist those behind them. Example as new techniques are introduced to ranks an upper belt may be asked to go take a group of underbelts off to the side and work with them on just doing the technique or kata segment over and over. By doing that not only are they helping those coming up behind them but they are improving their own understanding.

  14. There are two methods of throwing the sai and they involve different grips and are used for adjusting the difference the sai travels.
  15. I did the split water into hydrogen and oxygen many years ago - sans the explosion. We had a really great chemistry teacher. Our favorite "prank" was to do things involving sulpher and its burning. The odor would waft out or door enter the air circulation of the building go down two stairwells and into the main office. Home ec down the hallway always seemed to get credit for the rotten egg smell.

  20. Then there is the kid who comes in with a belt that a parent help them to tie. It is tied nice and neatly only it only went around the waist once and their are tails trailing along on both sides of the kid.
