if knock out was done in tournaments ther would be alot of injured people in WKF tournaments etc . it would be more like UFC . point spariing is safer than techniqual knockout . but there are some tournament that aloow full contact karate .

confidence doesnt kill .. it helps you in training sometimes . if you are going to be scared of everybody or mostly everybody you will be scared the rest of ur life .. like in sparring . or being in front of people .. confidence makes u BETTER

yeah i read it and it does have valiable history and good solid research "read only if u not gonna get bored from the first few pages and put it away" if you really are into karate-do you must read thus book

HAHA AT CHEEKYMUSICIAN I THINK MY GI IS POSSESED ALSO IT KEEP LEVATATING and it scares me but does anybody kno any good gi's where it doesnt happen like the one our intructors wear ..???? i've notice the brand . its called Macho Martial arts .. i'll check that out and keep u updated .. any other brand u kno that are good ???

i understand what ur talking about .. its a way of not letting ur oppinet get into a stance or strike .. u do it on the line u think off the back of ur head a technique u will use before the judge says ajame . .. like zenkutsu dachi oi suki . if he blocks a ushiro mawashi geri or mawashi geri .. i learned those moves .. and it seems to work ..any other tecniques that u learned so far ..

i myselve like to turn with the ball of my foot . but it can be done any way . wheather the ball of ur foot or the heels .. it all works great

i like firekas idead of the push up braws i wouldnt be concetrated in karate those days .. mmm i'll be more intrested in firekas .. mmmmm

i found this movie to be boring and out of style . it was stupid in my opinion not tring to insult anybody who did like it .. im sorry it is just my opinion

its all just howllowood acts . making an asian man like a grand master in all karate movies . it just makes sense to americans . even though mr.miyagi in the movie the karate kid was fiction it did mixed alot of styles like kung fu .. i thought it shouldnt be called "karate" kid . probably should have been subtitled "the american kid" or some sh*t like that since all movies here are alwasy starting and american ..

i use a karate gi that sometimes opens up in the v part of it . and the belt comes out sometimes . i sometimes think the gi is so u can concetrate more on ur training and less in fixing ur gi's if ur in a sparring match and ur gi opens i think they made it like that so u can say forget that and keep concetrating on the fight i seen someone spar and there gi opened he was concetrating more on fixing it rather on his opponent and he got kicked in the face with a mae geri to the mouth unfortunately he loose a tooth . any more situations like this write it on the forum or if u think the gi's are there too keep u distracted ????

i think by yelling in occasion here and there would work out fine but if it is constant yelling abuse it wont work that way .. sometimes i as a assitant intructor i " say " " do u wanna do the exercise or u wanna get out of the class " i dont think its harsh but i kno they wont get out of the class instead they will be willing to do the exercise . but i was taught like that too . yelling and here and there .. it does get annoying but it gets the job done .after the class my intructor would become my close friend when we enter the dojo i call it the " warzone" he enters to the state of a sergent . he jokes around here and there fair enough
