An aerial is not a gymnastic move! its a Kick!

Yeah thats what i mean by spinning the sai. If any of you have seen "The Mummy returns" or "DareDevil" you see them doing some pretty impressive stuff which is the kinda stuff i'd like to learn. I've got the basics for the sai so i don't need help with that. When you spin the sai is there a way to keep it spinning or do you just have to stop them before they slow down too much and you lose control? Has anyone got any idea if there are any sites that give you info on how to do anything like what they do on the films mentioned above?

Hi, I know there are lots of aerial guides out there but i've got a few questions for the people that can do them. 1) I've seen many people do aerials but some people seem to do them so their body looks like they are doing a one handed cartwheel (Where the body starts facing one way and ends facing the other. I've also seen people do aerials so their body stays facing side ways just like a regualar cartwheel. Which way is correct? which is easier to learn? 2)I've tried to learn an aerial by starting with fast cartwheels then one handed etc but it doesn't seem to be working! but i like the aerials that look like a perfect cartwheel where your body stays side ways without twisting. how do you learn these? 3) I've also heard that you can learn an aerial by doing regular cartwheels and get them faster and try to get them higher so even if you try to put both hands down they won't touch the floor. can you do them this way? How do you learn them and get the extra height? If you can help me i will be REALLY happy!!! THANX!!!

Hi, Today i bought some Sai. I've never trained with sai before as i'm only used to training with a Bo So can you please help me out with a few things? 1) How do you hold them? 2) Is it possible to spin them? 3)Is there anywhere online where i can learn some Sai katas or cool moves? (Real sai katas NOT karate katas done with sai!) 4) Is there anything else i need to know about them? Thanx!!!

In "Daredevil" They also throw the Sai. They throw it so it hits point first but is it possible to do that because isn't the handle heavier so that when you throw it the Sai would would travel handle first?

I want to learn a new weapon out of the Sai or Kama but i don't know which is best! In your opinion whats better out of the Sai or the Kama and why? Which looks best for kata in tournaments? I've never thought that the Sai is a very good weapon because you can't do much with them but when i saw the movie "Daredevil" i was mistaken as the stuff that Jennifer Garner does with them is really cool! But is it possible to do all that stuff that she does?

Yeah i kno thats not the right way to think about kata but as i'm doing it for tournaments i need to think of it in this way! i would learn traditional Bo katas if i knew any but I DON'T so the way i think will have to do!!!

Ok i've suddenly decided that i want to start doing kata in tournaments and i'm goin to make up my own kata to do but before i can start I REALLY NEED HELP on learning a backflip as most of the moves i want to learn will need me to know how to do this! Can anyone PLEASE help me with how i can learn how to do it???

Hi, I have learned a kata for the Bo as my dads friend from America has helped me! The kata is really good but now i want to change some of the moves to make it even better! Does anyone know any cool moves for the Bo that will add to katas to make them even more crowd pleasing???

Hi, I've been learning a kata for my Bo and now i would like to learn the Kama for tournaments. our club doesn't exactly teach weapons yet so i don't know if there are any katas to learn for the Kama. Are there any? I want to learn the katas with moves that look cool in tournaments if possible. If there are no katas what cool moves can i learn???

I learn the Bo! what if i was in a bar or something and a fight started? I could use a snooker cue just as effective as a Bo!

Yeah thats the move! You've probably seen it on Street Fighter! I haven't got access to a foam pit or anything so is there another way to learn backflips???

Can anyone do a flash kick??? How do you do it!?

You know for things like Capoeira moves or acrobatic moves where you need to be flexible what streches are there that i will need to do to because i am trying to teach myself but just streching the same way as i do in karate doesn't seem to be warming my muscles up enough? If anyone knows what warm-up exercises i need to do please post them up! Thanx!!!

for this move do you need to turn your top half of your body facing up or can you do it with your body facing forwards just like you would if you did a cartwheel???

Hi can someone please help me because i have been wanting to learn the au malandro or batido for ages but i just can't get any of it right! i can't go to classes so i have to learn it by myself. hi i do karate but i want to start learning Capoeira but there are no schools near where i live. I know that i'm supposed to learn everything from a class but i just want to learn some of the cool moves to add them to my kata for next year. Can someone tell me the best way they can how to learn the Au Malandro??? is it possible to do this move in a weapons kata with a Bo??

Hi does anyone know of any ways i can speed up my kicks? I do karate so the two kicks i wanna get even quicker are Roundhouse and Hook kick! I can already kick very well but i wanna get my kicks quicker so its easier for tounaments! Does anyone know how?
