A good friend of mine lives in Metairie. Him and his family got out (to Florida, drove) but what they'll have to go back to... who knows (I read in a news report that there was "at least" 4 feet of water there).
Hello, As there is a thread where this is already being discussed, I am going to direct you over there and close this one. http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=22221 Thanks.
Let's remember that the purpose of these threads is to discuss the differences and similiarities between the arts and not which one would win in a fight. Thanks.
That might be the perfect Dad to have in a situation like this, actually. (Unless you think he'll go fight the guy or pull you out of the church when you like going). At least he'll take it seriously and as an important thing, better that than having a parent who thinks you are imagining it. I'll go with telling your Dad. You can only do so much. You're 14 and you've tried... this is what parents are for. I doubt they'd like what this guy did.
MA wise? Well, managing a community usually requires the skill to manage a community and not a knowledge of the subject manner. That actually helps me at times. Hurts me at others, but that hurt is completely made up for by surrounding myself with smart/smarter people.
Well, I don't/didn't study martial arts. But, my grandfather was a brown belt in Judo, my dad took some hybrid of an art or two (I forget) for a very short time and my little brother got up to junior blue belt in American Kenpo.
