  1. Again, I'm sorry if I was a little harsh on you!. I did not meen that. You said nothing about BJJ or MMA, but you intended to with that 40 and 50 wing chun people, etc, etc. I don't have no interest in UFC, like I said, i'm too old, but hey, if I only had been any younger I may be fighting there. (Some one have to loose too, if not, nobody wins, right) . My point was that this, the mixed martial arts, is basically for younger men and I have gotten your point about this before, so maybe I was a little to hard and I'm really sorry about that, but a little tired of the style "downwash" all the time. So, friends?.
  2. Yes, I'm sorry about that. It was ment ironiq, so if any one of you sees it harsh I poligize for that!!!.
  3. That somebody had a bad day, I think........ No, I know where you getting with this TJS, . I know where and what you gonna say, so why don't you just say it. (You will try better than this next time, yes??) The answer, ladys and gentlemen, is that Bjj, MMA and simular is SO mush better than the rest off the pack, coz they win all the time, right??. Let's just stop doing what ever we are doing and join up!!. No use anymore, they are right, off couse they are!!. We must train to compete, we must!. TJS is sooo right, coz if my style can't win 40 out of 50 fights I don't think I can do it anymore........ So where can I sign???. I'm I right or am I not???. This was your intension, wasn't it?. And this is the answer. You se, I don't do this for competition, but for fittness, health and self-defence!. You never gonna see me in UFC, Pride or whatever coz of this and coz I'm to old. I rather do some "oldman" fu instead, leaving UFC and Pride for you, TJS. You have to promice me that we someday will see you in the ring doh, so we can see for your self how fine this art of yours is. You promice me this??. You are gonne get yor a** kicked in UFC, right? You simply won't get up, do you?. No one, I pepeate, no one can or will practice enything else, you will se to that, right. Or is it something else?. Maybe you are not so sure and tries to get sure here?. Is that it, TJS???
  4. Shoot = going to take down...... Right??
  5. He still won, right?. Thats what matters, right????
  6. On the streets, Krav Maga. In the ring (with no rules) Krav Maga (with rules, Muay thai)!. Muay thai is all about rules, Krav Maga is not!!. Sport for sport and street for street.... You can't compete in the streets..... you loose!!!!
  7. Yes, many times, but before I went for MA training. (I use to be one of the bullys you may meet on a bar, just picking my fights and fight them just for the fun of it!!) To my defence I can say, with my hand over my heart, that I never had hit or kicked someone on the ground, never!!. That is, in my eyes, to low and to coward like to do. I lost a few fights, won some more fights and can just frankly say that this is not a smart thing to do and it is nothing I'm proud off to day, I can tell you that!!!.
  8. I started with Wing Chun about a year ago, Yip Man lineage... Please se the link: http://www.thewingchunschool.com/Main.htm
  9. Davison, a little to the left on your keyboard it is a knob that you can read Caps Lock on!. Hit it one time, please, coz big letters make you SCREAM on the net, and hitting the Caps Lock make the letters small again. No affence..... :-)
  10. Sorry, did I say BJJ???. Where the heck did that came from???. I ment by kickboxers...
  11. Eurosport broadcasts K-1, yes. Great to se the CMA is back again!. It had been dominated to loog by BJJ I think....
  12. Sorry iolair, not mush help to find here, was it?
  13. So??. I had nothing against any style, just the "My style/art is better than you!", stuff. And youknow what?. It has been better!.
  14. boy later gonna take a sort of "froun up, adult" belt ..... that would be groun ut, not froun up.... Sorry
  15. Yes, for sure, at least 16 years old for a black belt!!. It scared me when I read that a 5 year old boy got his black belt in TKD, coz just look at it!. A 5 year old with a black belt?. Wow, he is good for sure, don't you think?. With years and years of practice and a great understanding of TKD, he really deserved the belt, right??. What a joke!!!. Mcdojo is what that is!. And I wonder why none really respect TKD anymore, don't you too??. Or is a black belt underage, so to speak, just a junior black belt, so this boy later gonna take a sort of "froun up, adult" belt later?. He gonna be grand master-master-master of 100 dan when he is about 40 then, with a belt blacker than black??. No, you have at least be 16 years of age to get it, or else the belt looses it's meaning!. Believe it or not, the little boy really has a black belt in TKD!!. Really cool, don't you think! ;D ;D ;D
  16. I can just say what I saw in Combat magazine, april issue this year, about Joe Sayah, nothing more, nothing less. If you don't believe me, buy it yourself and take a look. An if I stepped on some toes here I apologize for that. Just like you, JohnnyS, said, the on and on going about "my style is better than your's" are taking us nowhere, it is better to cooperate and learn something instead, right. But then again, it's a lot easier to disscuss somthing with people that agrees with you than with people who don't, right?. Just take a look at this http://www.wahnam.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=552 and this http://www.nononsenseselfdefense.com/grappling.html Have fun, thats what really counts!
  17. I'm not being defensive, I'm just tired of this "my style is sooo mush better" here all the time. Maybe you don't see this yourself, but try to look at what you and some of the other writes here at this forum and you see what I mean. As soon as anyone says they have a time of there life with something traditional or other stuff that you don't approve you are there. Wham, not only are you stating that what you are doing are so mush better, but you are stepping on every other style as well!. Just look back and see it for yourself!. If you guys had been so long in MA as some of you claim you would know that an art/style can't fight at all, it's the man who learns it thats fight!. I'm not gonna go to their Torrance Academy with a video camera and challenge them, I ain't that dumb, thank you very mush!. And if you see me as defensive I poligise for that, that was not my intension. My intension was what I stated above and I agree with the guy who said you only do MA if you find it fun, coz it's the true. Soo aussie guys, are we still "friends"?. No hard feelings?. I had acctually learned a lot by discussing this with you (besides to look out for those pesky BJJ guys ) I spoke to my SiFu to day about you guys and asked him what to do if I ever met a wrestler and he said that it was smart to take it a little easy , so I guess you're right about it after all. He even promiced that he would talk to his sifu to get him implement more ground work, coz we have some ground work, but maybe need some more, just to be a little safer. But then again, I'm not gonna advertize this if I ever had a fight with a wrestler, that will be mine little surprize for him See ya!.
  18. Totally agrees with wcnavstar. Well said!. I'll do it for love, not for the money or coz it looks fancy.
  19. No, I'll never taken a fight to the ground. And that was before I even trained in any MA (except boxing), and maybe so to, not a lot of boxers do there things on the ground!. The man who said that the Grasies didn't let him in was Joe Sayah, a Wing Chun man, livin in LA. (And yes, I think I know what you're gonna say now, but it has nothing to do with my point that I'm a wing Chun guy too! This is the truth, believe me. I had said this no matter what he where from, so don't even start with it please. And to you, JohnnyS, you know better than : " Where's your proof of the effectiveness of Combat Martial Arts ? Oh, you mean anecdotes and legends ? " Or is this all you can come up with?. You know as well as me that at least Wing Chun have a fighting history, and still has back in Hong Kong, so don't pull this on everybody practicing something else, please!. Or maybe you mean we should just stop what we do and start with MMA or BJJ or whatever, coz the so called "traditional" has nothing to offer?. Well, do ya??
  20. It's like SoulAssassin says, it not worth it!. For a great deal of years ago I was fighting a dude that after a while out in the fight sudenly pulled a knife on me. All I had to defend myself with was a glass of beer and I still regret this, many years later, coz I blinded him on one eye and cut him up with the beer glass so bad that he allmost bleed to death. I'll regret this very mush today, coz maybe I'd ruined his life, his dreams, maybe his future and didn't had the guts to go and speak with him after it happend, affraid off what he might do to me for revenge. This still houndts me from time to time, coz not even my wife knows about this little secret of mine, that something I'm not proud of, believe me!. So take my advice; don't do any street fighting just for the "fun" of fighting, it may ruin lifes, yours or others and in a worst case take lifes too. Prison is a lonelly place for a MA, coz every one will try you out!. So don't do it!.
  21. I did. I found my school!. I did not know this when I started, but I know it now. This is my school. http://www.thewingchunschool.com just check it out!.
  22. No, I know that if one man say it's fixed it might not be the truth, but to be honest, I don't give A rats *** about it, coz I really don't care if it is. My consern is the avarage Joe I might meet in a street fight and not some cage fighting super hero!. I had been in a lot of fights, but I'll never been taken or have taken someone myself to the ground and kept on fighting there. So what I'm saying and what you are saying is basically this: I say that my Wing Chun is allmost an overkill against average Joe, you say that my Wing Chun won't work coz it have no ground work. Ask yourself this: how big is the chanse for me to meet someone who is really good in ground fighting in a regular street fight.?? (Unless, off cause, everyone practicing BJJ or MMA is running around in the streets just looking for a fight (This was ironiq ment, no affence)). Not so big, no. Or to twist it a little, I think it is a bigger chanse for you guys to meet up with someone good in fighting standing up!. Se my point?. Yes, it can happen, but the chanses are so slim that I'm willing to take that chanse. The most of us do not train for competition, but for health and self defence and my personal opinion is that most of the styles out there will do the job just fine. The reason I was picking on the mixed MA's is that there seems to be some sort of missanderstanding about this. You just love, like me, what you are doing and just hate it when anyone comes by and steps on you and what you love, right?. Like I did when I quoted the guy from Combat magazine about the fixed fights, who by the way is true, he said that and he also was fighting in Pancrace and K1 i think(Spellings ok???). It was sort of like poking a aligator with a short stick, but it proved to me that you got affended by it just like I was when you stated that nothing works in a street fight except the stuff you go and learn. I love MA in any form, but it is so anoying when the "my style is sooo mush better than yours" comes up and like you said, some of you are just over devoted in it and what I really is trying to say is; slow down a little!. Don't step on everybody just be coz they train traditional or any other style. You are agreeing with me that it would be rather boring just chatting with folks with just the same opinions, right?. Now I go to bed. I wanna train tomorrow morning, I think it is time to meet Joe, the average man....
  23. For me it is what works in a self-defence situation. Diff, question, coz on this forum the most of us have done the choosing already.....
  24. Bye a Abram tank, then you're attackproof on the streets!. So mush Bullcrap these days .... People with yellow belts who sets up schools anywhere, kids 6 years old who have black belts and sort of stuff.... Take it for what it is, just crap.
