  1. Wesley Snipes in blade doing shotokan and hapkido
  2. here are the main ballet position that one should practice, for strength in the hip legaments and tendons for highkicking: https://balletclassroom.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/ballet-8-positions-of-the-body-large.jpg
  3. you are kidding, right! there is no wing chun in the whole of silvers career. Not kidding.en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anderson_Silva Anderson Silva practicing Wing Chun with Dan Inosanto. the techniques they are doing are kali techniques. As soon as silver wakes up and realises what nonsense he is learning with this paticake uselessness. he is world champ he can't learn any thing from this man - it should be the other way around. tisk!
  4. conner fights like bruce lee. he uses distance, timing and gile, to frustrate the opponent. this he will use against mayweather as mayweather is a counterpuncher and conner has to make mayweather attack and counter that attack. connor has to make mayweather lead. if he just attacks like ricky hatton he will end up knocked out.
  5. you are kidding, right! there is no wing chun in the whole of silvers career.
  6. I order all martial artists to stop drinking alcohol.
  7. connor mcgregor is a maverick world turner.
  8. that is funny and a bold statement.what we have here is the time old arguement of which is the better art. that someone from another art(mcgregor) can beat a boxer.
  9. I have felt so bad after drinking alcohol, it lasts for three days after that I have stopped drinking all together. My life is much better now, since I stopped. pink
  10. I was thinking more of this: pink
  11. I have started twirling some bamboo sticks just for the fun of it. I find that my feet start moving every time I hit with the rear hand. The foot on the rear strike automatically moves backwards, as if I am hitting with a rear cross. I find this is a gentle way of warming up, before I start my usual routine. I know nothing of weapons training though. pink
  12. magregor has the superior boxing skills in the mma, and that is the edge has over his competitors in the mma because the majority are wrestlers/graplers/bjj affectionardos. for a wave of time the grappling arts was thought to be superior to the stiking arts, driven by the success of the graces in ufc. the striking arts are making a come back though, with holly holm, amanda neunes, magregor, wonderboy, etc. magregor will lose against mayweather though, not even manny pacqiuo could lay a finger on him and he was fast as a duck. pink
  13. there's summer glau doinf TKD in Serenity film. mat demon doing FMA in the jason bourne films. tom cruse doing kensi in the jack reacher film. keanu reeves doing kunf fu in matrix. scarlet johanson doing largo mano in the ironman films. can't think of any more right now. pink
  14. I find, if I have drunk alcohol, I lose every time in a fight.
  15. first one needs to loose 100lb through diet. Then one can add weight lifting, only do the squat for three reps and the deadlift, three reps. every day. then add the rear punch with both hands. This will take a year. then join the BJJ class. pink
  16. work up to 2000 situps a day, then you will be as good looking as ronaldo.
  17. the great thing about training on your own is there is no bullying sensi tell you what to do, when one knows it is a waste of time. the bad thing is there is no body to test and sharpen ones skills against a moving opponent.
  18. footwork is a subtle thing. one does it over and over and feels that one is getting nowhere and all of a sudden one just does it at the apropriate time. i find that the strength in the hips and legs is required for fast footwork. pink
  19. watch sam rockwell boxing skills at 1:53 minutes: he is my favorite dancer. pink
  20. I agree with you pinklady6000 I also like some of the ballet training concepts they use. It puts a whole new perspective on conditioning. Obviously I'm not the first or will be the last guy to recognize a training advantage buy using ballet conditioning in martial arts. Anderson Silva "The Spider" is considered by many, to be the greatest mixed martial artist of all time in the UFC. Silva was bullied as a youth for taking Ballet. http//cdn2.cagepotato.com Another Ballet Star that might appear in the UFC one day. yes, silva is incredible. what i find suprising is he started with myu tai where he won a lot of fights, but today he seems to prefer boxing. wow! look how far he can leap of the ground, so high!
  21. An empty brown paper bag is more dangerous than a brown paper bag with a hammer in it! just the action of blowing up a bag will in my experience makes people run away.
  22. I have just looked at a map of okinawa and japan and they are 1000 of miles apart! how can karate be influenced by okinawa or china? japan is closer to korea and russia. i would say tkd is more likely influence of karate. as for russia i don't know want they do. pink
  23. according wikipedia karate oringinated from fujian white crane: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karate which I find suprising as I thought it came from jujitsu like judo? pink
  24. what summer glau can do with her body in the serenity film is quite incredible. I have the DVD and on the extras is a good video of her training for the part. the martial arts coordinator was quite specific and said that "he took the job because of summer glau's ability and flexablity."(paraphrased) I like the training in ballet because it slowly strengthens the tendons and ligaments without injury. There is always the desire to push the body too quickly in the pursuit of those flashy techniques. pink
  25. Thank you for the welcome alan armstrong. i have enjoyed the ballet vidios in this post. pink
