I live in the middle of nowhere. We have two dojo's of different styles in a 30 mile distance from eachother. There is an Iaido school about an hour away. I go there for additional aikido practice once in a while. I don't understand how you could learn swordsmanship from a book.

Well, why did you act like I was some wannabe martial artist? I don't want to learn to much about ninjutsu in case I decide to take it some day. That way, the instructor can teach me things without me acting like I know everything. I was simply interested in how someone could "make" a smoke bomb because that sounds very difficult.

I have a bokken and I've been using it for a while. Thats why I'm interested in a live blade. I take Japanese Goju Ryu so we don't have weapons. I have a shodan in Goju Ryu and 5 kyu in Aikido

Umm...........Fireka, I am a shodan in Goju, thats half the reason I want to take ninjutsu. Rich, I just don't understand. I also told you I didn't want to be a "holywood" ninja. I don't know if you read the "didn't" part. It seems to me that you think I said I wanted to be one. I said the exact opposite. It takes years to master something. It kinda makes me angered that you'd take me for one of those guys who wants the belt without the work.

I want to take ninjutsu, but I cannot find a dojo. I only know how to make metsubishi and I want to learn how to make smoke bombs. Can anyone help me? I promise to use them responsibly.

I take 2 styles, Aikido and Goju Ryu. Goju Ryu has no weapons and Aikido has the sword. I really want to purchase a katana but my parents are 99% against it. A friend who doesn't even take a Martial Art has a katana and he's learning from a book. Please explain to me why I can't have a sword and I'm in the martial arts but someone who isn't is allowed and how I can pursuade my parents.

Well, I know about kuji In semi-a lot. I just wish I could take ninjutsu to learn about the ninja and their fighting art. Sometimes a book don't cut it.

Well, if you do any martial art, you must have an open mind to everything. If ki works, why not this? I have no way to contact a ninjutsu dojo. The nearsest bujikan dojo is in lorain and their phone is disconnected. HELP ME!

My neighbor claims that karate is useless but I just think its only useless if its in the wrong hands. let him thing what he wants.

I'm interested in ninjutsu and kuji in ( Hand symbols which grant certain "powers" like direction of energy or healing). How likely, if any are these things to be "real"? Are they a mental thing or what?

I want to take it. A dojo that I go to has Iaido twice a month. Its the art of attacking while drawing your sword. But don't get me wrong, theres more than that. After you attack, you have "combos" I think. I was reading a book on it.

Kendo is a sword art, Kenpo is a martial art but it also has flower arangments and horsback riding, etc. and Kempo is a type of MA with animal strikes but not like Kung Fu I'm not positive between Kenpo and Kempo, they may be switched.

I've heard of a TKD thing called the "Black Belt Club". Some of my friends are in it and if you come to a certain amount of classes, you're automatically a black belt or something.

Well, I'm not gonna down anyone about getting their next belt, and also, I didn't want to be rude and ignore people who were encouraging me. I have nothing against you persay, but later I saw a post that just said "I got my next belt" and I wondered why someone would do that. I just thought it'd be kinda weird to say only that. I beleive you said other thing like "It feels good to move up" and you encouraged other people testing. That I understand.

Thats where I heard it from. Kenshin is always concerned about how it sucks and if he can beat people with it. I just didn't know what it meant. Why wouldn't a regular sword be a reverse blade? Just attack with the wrong side.

Well, It would depend on how you were attacked. If you were choked from behind, you wouldn't set a stance, you'd just try to get out first. If you know you're gonna be attacked, you can be better prepared. My opinion is that some MA focus to much on "If I was attacked" and not if you're going to attack.[/b]
