I finally started going back to karate and there is a new guy....hes same level as me just I have more experiance and he's pretty good but his fall back is is that he expects to be able to do kicks perfectly the first time. I was trying to show him how to do good spinning heal kicks and cresent kicks because im known for my kicks and he kept saying I cant do it. "Practice my son"

Well...I guess blocks should be factored in also. Not many people block with legs and feet. At my karate school we seem to focus on kicks more but thats because they take more effort to exicute and also the are harder to exicute. But yea...it depends on the person and the school.

For some reason the only other languages we use is for forms...so I would be of no help there.

HAHA I have you all beat. I pay freakin $90 a month to be on a one year membership for National Karate in freakin Oklahoma....90 bucks. If I payed by the year it would be $100. Private lessons for a hour with jim butin are 100 bucks a hour then like 35 for the other teachers. Beginning belt tests run about 30...and gradually increase with the belt. Its balls expensive.

sounds about right. I knew of the opera/dance part. A lot of good MA practicionars(SP) took a dance class to be able to do things with such grace and style

yea...i'd say so. Im just confused cuz some schools make you train a certain time no matter how good you are before you can test. Others, oh you think your ready...wheres the money?

wado-lee has a point. You can have a crappy school..but if the people are cool and the instruction is good then its all worth it.

All my friends make fun of me because im german....so on day we were talking about stuff and that metallica song blitzkreg came up and then It turned into blitzcraig. I dont quite know what blitzkreg means in german though. I guess i'll have to look it up.

I dont quite know why my school does this but it goes White, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, purple, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st browns, red, black and so on. I dont know about only white and black. Some kung fu schools might still do that

I was wanting to take a MA for years and years and years and my mom was always like..."we dont have the money now...maybe when your older". So I just got tired of it and when I had a car and money I decided to look into MA's. Why I picked the most expensive Karate school around I dont know...kinda dumb on my part.

Yea, I dont know if he takes juijitsu or not....maybe he was just being a wise guy. I would like to take both if I had the time and money...maybe some day.

Yea, i've been wanting to try the candle exercise for awhile. You think its worth doing? Also i've been wanting to get fast enough to be able to stick my finger in a cardboard box but am afraid of a finger stub.

I have this thing against feet and the padded floor smells like...well...feet...so its weird to fall or do streches and get a fatty wiff of toes

Yea, I started at the old school in march or april 2002 and this girl started in august well, by february of next year, she was blue and I was green...do to her many extra private lessons and geting on the instructors good side. Oh yea, and she never really sparred either.
