Martial Arts Poetry HELP!!!!
Blade13 replied to Blade13's topic in Martial Arts Gaming, Movies, TV, and Entertainment
Well, I can honestly say that everyone in my english class thinks I suck at martial arts now. haha I got nervous and screwed up SO badly!!! It was brutal. My friend who has seen me do these forms flawlessly had his head in his hands cuz he didnt want to see it. Oh the horror! I forgot some of the words and had to make up part of the poem during the presentation. Luckily, no one had heard of the poem, so no one noticed that part, lol. It was Five Forms Fist by Hanshi Tom. It was about the five animals of Shaolin kung fu. And to add to the agony, I FORGOT MY FORMS! lol I had to totally improvise on just some tricks that kinda looked like they fit into the poem. Argh, I hope nothing like that ever happens again. Ive only been nervous while performing twice in my entire life (counting today). *shudders* Maybe they thought it was a drunken form... -
Martial Arts Poetry HELP!!!!
Blade13 replied to Blade13's topic in Martial Arts Gaming, Movies, TV, and Entertainment
Urgh, sorry it took so long for me to reply. I already have a poem now. Its due on tuesday, haha. Ive been working on how to act it out. Thanks for all your help. -
Ah-ha! I see that I am not alone with the number 13. SA-WEET! (one of my fav phrases...lol) Why do people consider it back luck anyway? It was the ultimate number of luck to the Vikings. (13 full moons in a year, etc. etc.).

Well, my nickname is Blade because of my passion for bladed weapons....(now heres the "Blade" movie part) my abnormally pointy teeth, strength, and being born on Halloween. Aside from that, 13 is my lucky number. I know that most people think its unlucky, but thats why it brings me luck! If no one uses it, it must have plenty of luck left! MUAHAHAHA!!!!

Martial Arts Poetry HELP!!!!
Blade13 replied to Blade13's topic in Martial Arts Gaming, Movies, TV, and Entertainment
Im not in one. My family taught me military techniques and the rest I learned on my own. Ive won tournaments in the black belt division tho! hehe Any martial art will do. Something involving wing chun, muay thai, ninjutsu, capoeira, or jeet kune do would be nice though. Thanks! Those are my five favorites and the ones I would like to train in formally. -
Ive got to do a poetry project for my advanced literature class. We have to find a poem, and act it out. I would like to do one on something Im passionate about, so that would be....martial arts *gasp!* lol. So, do any of you know of some poems about martial arts? Thanks in advance. Peace! _________________ *To HELL with opportunity! I create opportunity!*-Bruce Lee ______________ [ This Message was edited by: Blade13 on 2002-02-07 17:15 ]

WOW an interesting peice of info from a police man!
Blade13 replied to Henry South's topic in General Martial Arts Discussion
"To the full extent of our potential"...I dont mean killing them, I mean we are allowed to hurt them enough to stop the danger. If that consitutes killing them, then we can. If they have a gun, knife, or other weapon that puts you in fear of your life (and you are unarmed), you have the right to kill. Loopholes are fun arent they? I could find more....but I really dont care enough about this to do it, lol. -

My mom is a Georgia State Patrol officer and here we are allowed to defend ourselves to the full extent of our potential as soon as someone draws their arm back to hit you! So....If anyone is in Georgia, dont hesitate to defend yourself. NO WARNING NEEDED! Cool huh? lol -
I read in Kung Fu Qigong magazine a couple of months ago that it will definately be in the Olympics on 2008. They said that Cung Le will be the American team captain. They might have been wrong though. *Just passing on the info.* I really hope they were right. I might actually watch the Olympics if they had San Shou! _________________ *To HELL with opportunity! Did you know that the government watches EVERY move we make while online. Every time we go to a website, or type something, it is watched and recorded. Also, whenever we use our phones, if we say bomb, president, gun, attack, kill, shoot, murder, etc. someone will listen to the convo to see if there is any threat there. My aunt knows a guy who used to work for the government and his job was listening to regular peoples' phone calls. The rights that we once had are being taken away at an alarming rate! In a school video, I did the rock music symbol (the index finger and pinky) and they censored me!! Most Americans are still brainwashed into thinking that there is absolutely nothing wrong with our country and they were under the false impression that we were invincible. Thats why 9/11 was such a surprise (among other reasons, of course). With my luck, as soon as I post this, some dudes dressed in black and carrying machine guns will kick in my door and take me to an island for people who know too much, lol. Ya know, like in those movies........ I DONT WANNA GOOOOOOOOO!!! *for the record....i was joking about the island part. lol*

At the moment Im just the vocalist, but my friend is gonna teach me to play the guitar. He rocks at it, but is even better with drums. Ever heard of the band Taproot? If so, he like...knows them and wrote a song on one of their albums. Ive got a great voice, but my hands are too big to play the guitar easily. It sucks! For the chords near the end of the neck, I cant help but accidentally touch other strings, so I might hafta switch to a bass guitar since the strings are farther apart. He doesnt use chords when he plays tho, and it still sounds awesome, so Im lookin forward to learning how to do that. Aside from singing, I write a lot of the songs. Right now Im workin on a couple of new ones. Were still nameless and drummerless. lol

haha, thanks! Romantic stuff rocks! I even write romantic songs and stuff....when Im not singing In my punk band. Im better w/ romantic stuff tho.
-
Well, Linkin Park is my favorite band. My favorite kind of music is punk tho. As in....the majority of bands I like are punk, but the one that is non-punk stands up above all. Linkin Park is a little bit (notice i said little) punkish though. They dont really fall into any certain rock genre.

I would definately choose to be rich. Famous only means that you are well-known. You could be "famous" for something bad. Look at Bin Laden! I would sooooo rather be rich. I could do so much more with that. Well, thats my opinion. See ya!

He might have explained the reason for that question afterward, but I doubt anyone heard it because of the roaring laughter. I was being pulled away at the time, so I didnt hear it.
-
Hey! If ur gonna make fun of a boy band, at least make fun of one with no one in it Im related to! What do u have against them anyway? A lot of the songs are romantic. Thats why I like 'em. Yeah...Im a romantic punk, lol.

I live in south georgia. Bible country. He (the judge)was somewhere in his 60's, I think and down here, most of the older people try to find a way to bring Christianity into anything they can. Im not against Christianity, but when they start bringing it into things that have absolutely nothing to do with religion, then it gets on my nerves. Did you know that we have Christian skate parks here too? Yup, u go to a service, then get to skate for an hour or so. People here are strange. Its all rednecks or religion fanatics, so you can imagine how annoying it can get here. Ever heard a reneck using ebonics? Its hilarious! Ok, Im gettin WAY off topic, so Im gonna shut up. See ya!

TRUE STORY When I was like......6 or so, I was taking a TKD belt test and one of the judges (a man who I had never seen before) said "Does anyone here know what Hell is?" I raised my hand and said " I do! I do!" He said ,"Alright, what is it then?" I replied with "Its the place where the Devil lives." He then said ,"How do you know that?" I said.... "My grandma tells my grandpa to go there all the time!" My sensei put his hand over my mouth and pulled me off the floor.

I love Linkin Park and punk music. My friends nicknamed me "the blue haired ninja" cuz of it! Also.....*I am SO gonna take a lotta crap for sayin this*....the Backstreet Boys. One of them is my cousin! Ive gotta like them. (And no, Ive never met him.)

Ok - how's this for starters
Blade13 replied to YODA's topic in Kung Fu, JKD, Wing Chun, Tai Chi, and Chinese Martial Arts
Thanks for the info Yoda. Unfortunately, I live in south georgia. Thats about 180 miles from any of those locations. This summer, Im going to Duluth to train at the Francis Fong Academy as part of a new yearly tradition since I cant train there full-time. Ill just have to do a month's work, practice that for a year, then come back and do more. Hey, I taught myself martial arts and I came in first place at a tournament in black belt forms and second in black belt sparring, so this wont be THAT bad for me. haha Im really looking forward to training there. They have four out of five of the "styles" that I would most like to learn...JKD, Muay Thai, Capoeira, and Wing Chun. Ive decided to go to college near Duluth so I can train there when I move out. Oh yeah, Im 15 years old. lol
