The gym is known to be unsanitary so I wore my MA shoes while I was practicing. After about 10 minutes of Switch Kicks, I noticed something weird about my feet as if something got into my shoe. After close examination, the soles of the shoe was coming off. How bizarre. Those were Adidas MA shoes too.

I just recently bought a Shock Doctor cup and strap too. It does bulge out a bit, but seeing as I'm wearing shorts over them it's not as apparent. Under gi on the other hand I can see where the concern is. Other than that it seems to be doing what it was made for. Well, at least for me it is.

The Legend of Bruce Lee

I read Shannon's article about this very movie; she denounced it. Because of Shannon's opinion, I'll not watch it whenever it's released. Shannon's endorsement or not, I'm gonna still watch the movie. -

Is it possible to use a BJJ uniform for Judo practice?

My MA training also doesn't correlate with my job either.

So, just as a way to break the ice, I figure I can start a thread about what people do for a living. I'll start first. I am a custodian for a small manufacturing company that makes battery valves for lead based batteries and also create the oxygen pump for live wells in small fishing boats.

So I'll be moving soon and the place I'm moving to has a balcony that I can hang a heavy bag on. The balcony floor above the bag has a few gaps in it and rainwater will be falling on top of the bag. My question is: are heavy bags waterproof so as the material inside the bag won't get wet? If not, I'll have to find a way to cover the heavy bag when it's not in use seeing as it's getting hung under a balcony outside.

I would have to say Sanchin and Sil Lim Tau -
It was really humbling. I got myself smacked around quite a bit, but it was enjoyable.

Hi guys and gals, I'm looking for a good Judogi uniform that is made in just one piece and won't break the bank. I looked up some of the uniforms online and found Kwon, Fuji, Century, and Pro Force. Any suggestions from you guys or experiences with certain brands?

Practicing Muay Thai now

I've only had 4 classes so far and so far the style is enjoyable. My biggest challenge are going to be the kicks. I'm not very flexible and I can't kick very high. -
Hi guys. Long time no see. Over the last week or so I've been training in traditional Muay Thai now so I now have something to supplement my Wing Chun.

To lose some weight, rank up in my WC, and learn another style to supplement it.

Sweet! Have fun. -
I know the heavy bag stands usually accommodates boxing bags, but I was wondering if there were ones that were made for Muay Thai bags over 100 lbs? I know that Outslayer and Balazs has some, but I was wondering if there were more that I couldn't find? Because of the fact that my living quarters won't allow me to drill into the walls or beams of a ceiling, I have no choice but to use a stand.

I'm sorry to hear that. JKD is one of my favorite styles to learn about. The pad that they used, was it a Thai Pad? They should've just went with some basic focus mitts.
