  1. OMG! A former co-worker actually sponsored this "movie". It's so cheesy, I love it.
  2. I'm all for it, but it really comes down to time and money, which is something I kinda lack most of the time.
  3. Now I know that there is MMA out there which might lead to some discussion from that form, but with this one, I'm more talking about the other traditional styles. I'm currently a beginner of Wing Chun and Uechi-Ryu karate. I know that both styles have different philosophies and approaches in their style. My question is: can different traditional styles mesh well with others such as Wing Chun and Uechi-Ryu? For example, does Shorin-Ryu and Hung Gar kung fu go well together, or perhaps Tae Kwon Do and Aikido? I know this question might be a little vague, but I was hoping to get a few opinions from you guys.
  4. Playstation Network: MantalixZERO
  5. I will definitely shake my brother's hand.
  6. My first tabletop RPG was 1st ed. AD&D, then pursued 3rd ed. after that. After getting frustrated with the alignment system and the lack of creativity in the system, I over the years moved on to different systems such as White Wolf, Rifts, d10 keep system, and so on. So far my most favorite systems are the d6 keep system that Green Ronin uses, the d10 keep system that companies like AEG and White Wolf uses, and the Tri-Stat system that games suck as Hong Kong Action Theatre! (yes, it actually exists and it's awesome!) uses. I'm currently running a Game of Thrones campaign that Green Ronin publishes and is a great system for those that love creativity.
  7. Thank you all for the kind welcome. I hope to learn from everyone here and hopefully teach a thing or two as well.
  8. When I was in elementary school, my parents took me to learn Shorin-Ryu because all of my friends did it. Did it for a year and got to green belt, then stopped because we couldn't afford the tuition anymore. Now 20 years later, I went back to karate under Uechi-Ryu to help supplement my Wing Chun style due to Wing Chun being very close quarters that it doesn't have much for mid and long range attacks.
  9. This is my master Sifu Sam Chan, teacher of Jow Ga, Tai Chi, and the style I learn under him, Wing Chun as taught by Grandmaster Ip Man and his sons Ip Ching and Ip Chun.
  10. I have this game. It's pretty decent if you can get pass the translation issues. Also, use a controller for the game instead of the keyboard. You'd save yourself a lot of headaches doing so.
  11. We use them in our sparring sessions. The sensei at the dojo encourages techniques from different styles that their students have learned in their career in MA. Some Wing Chun and JKD techniques use elbow strikes, but the knee pads are for the little San Dou I know.
  12. I work at a medical facility that produces medical equipment for different medical clinics and hospitals from around the world.
  13. I found some elbow pads from Century that would work well enough, but I couldn't find anything from Trace. In fact, I googled Trace and nothing turned up. Do you happen to have a link to their website?
  14. Sensei8, Thanks for the advice and heads-up.
  15. Hi everyone. My name is Gary, and I'm currently a practitioner of Wing Chun and Uechi-Ryu Karate. I was formally a student of both JKD and Escrima, but conflicting work schedules had me discontinue those two arts. I just found out about this forum and looks good and everyone seems to be nice. I look forward to participating in the forums and speaking to all of you.
  16. Hi guys, I've been sparring lately and I'm trying to look around for elbow and knee pads for that sort of environment, but can't find any. Does anybody know any stores or websites where I can find this equipment?
