  1. i dont know why they are called wife beaters, that is a good question
  2. would anyone of you use sweeping in a street fight? i would i would just sweep them enouph to knock them off balance and then shift in with a reverse punch, and while they bend over (if they bend over, they might go straight the the ground) ill knee them in the face if i have to.
  3. yeah that would work then when you do that, finish then with a reverse punch right into the solor pluex.
  4. yeah but how often do you have a 12. guage shotgun at your side when your in a fight?
  5. i agree they are really comfortable, do you wear anything under your gi like a shirt or wife beater?? i wear a wife beater under my gi most of the time or no shirt at all.
  6. i agree with TJS, dont missunderestimate the fighters of UFC, UFC is real.
  7. TJS wrote TJS i have been in a few full contact matches one was with a person form our local Tae Kwon Do club, i beat the TKDist. i have only been in like a couple full contact matches at one of our tounements and that was about it, otherwise iv only been in point sparring matches with light contact but i usually i sparr with heavy contact, in class we sparr with somewhat heavy contact, the lower belts do light contact, i dont. When me and my sensei sparr we do full contact most of the time, we dont allow punches to the face while we sparr.
  8. i hardly ever wear my gi outside of class.
  9. iv been wearing it for almost 2 years and still is a good as new
  10. thank you, if you goto the UFC i hope you kick a$$, i would love to see someone take out these so called "best fighters" ppl always compare ppl to UFC fighters, yes they are great fighters, i wouldnt want to fight any one of the top name UFC fighter. But if you do go, go kick ass.
  11. i wear the ironman gi by century. the Gi is a very comfortable gi, it is the best gi i have worn.
  12. battousai you are missunderestimating the UFC fighters. i dont care much for K-1 UFC or any other fighting deals, i care about the real world, i care about what happense to me on the street not in the ring. But the only way you can have ppl know who you are and the style you do is by in-ring compitions, like i have said before i am going to proove myself that shotokan karate is that damn good, iv got a freind who is just like me and wants to do tha same thing, his name is FireKa.
  13. have i fought before come on TJS why would you ask me that. 10 years of full contact id still go a round with him, wether i loose or not. i dont fear my opponents i welcome them.
  14. TJS wrote well id like to see your freind try to break this shotokan karate kas ribs. i have a hard time beliving you, you have not seen shotokan have more sucsess than TKD, yeah right.
  15. telsun wrote yes i do agree that is up to the karate ka and the sensei, you have to have desire, determination, to me shotokan is the best. i will proove myself, that shotokan is good for self defense, shotokan is good for in ring fighting. people judge shotokan by the statistics,Shotokan dosent have any statistics. If there hasnt been any shotokan karate kas in the K-1 or any other tournements, how would you ppl know if its good or not. To me shotokan karate kas dont need to proove there selves in ring fighting, we care more about what happens on the street. I eat, sleep, and breath shotokan karate as i have said before. I know that if there are shotokan karate kas like me out there, shotokan karate will proove itself that it is that damn good.
  16. yeah right, and i went through and changed the only 2 spelling errors there were.
  17. i agree that breaking boards can teach you how to punch better, but i dont care to much for breaking boards, i have broken boards before and i just dont have anything for it.
  18. i dont know much about TKD but i have fought (sparred) against a TKD stylist and he was nothing to me. lol to me TKD is not that good for self defense, its good for show though. i know that if you study TKD for along time you prolbibly will beable to fight really good. you ppl who study TKD can you tell me more about it and how good it would be on the street. im not trying to bash TKD here im just stating my opionin.
  19. balance is the key to all techniques, i train on balance at home all the time. We really dont do to much of balance training in the dojo, but we do sometimes.
