  1. harkon72 I would love to see a youtube video of those 3 kata you know.
  2. http://www.kungfu4less.com/rattan-nun-chucks.html
  3. These are the best pair that I can say for 7 link nunchaku. The other best ones I can recommend are the silver and black graphite corded nunchaku from century when the cord is trimmed down allot for stylish moves. This is for the full sized nunchaku traditional type moves not freestyle but obviously you can freestyle with anything. http://ep.yimg.com/ay/yhst-36451256984760/white-wax-nunchaku-chain-9.gif
  4. switched to all pushups, situps, squats and pullups when available. Was wondering how much less I would be able to do with a 12 lb vest on because I found one on sale. Its got to better to add 12 lbs to my routine than none but wondering 5'9 and 185 lbs. 23% body fat max bench 150. I can do 15 perfect form pushups. How many should I be able to do if I put this on. Going to slowly increase but will just use the 12 to develop good form and little extra strength for a while.
  5. thats the app im using for situp pushup and squats possibly dips next.
  6. I run anywhere between 2.5 miles and 4 a day.
  7. I am doing a workout routine of running and body weight exercises. Right now I do variation running anywhere from twice to 5 times a week and pushups situps every 2 days and squats once a week on last running day before break. I am considering going to the air force and just going for general fitness right now so I would like to be able to get to 50 pushups and 100 sit-ups at once. I use a pushup sit up and squat app that trains in 5 sets per session by week and day. I was just wondering how long it will take to get to the 1.5 mile run with this workout in this training within the 11:30 limit and maybe even 9 minutes. The more muscle I gain the less speed I get when running so im pretty much staying the same for now since I’m gaining a lot of muscle mass from pushups but losing weight while running. The eating tools I have been using are nutrition bar 180 cal. 20g protein, nutritional drink the generic. Various mild to moderate mixes of Gatorade depending on the run and workout. Yogurt and ham sandwiches. I just don’t know how many calories to get a day. I am on a budget so the items I have listed are the most moderately healthy ones I can afford. Besides how many calories to get I don’t know the order eat a lot in the morning little all day. When to take my nutritional shake morning evening idk? But even if I could just figure out how many calories to eat minimum that would help. And I wake up and drink a strong dose of coffee any advice would help.
  8. I was planning on working at a mental institute that allows boarding which is restraints and there are laws when it comes to dealing with the patients about the way you handle there violent behavior. You can defend yourself and they teach you techs in training on restraining them when they act crazy and start being violent but as we all know what you learn isn't necessary what you use involuntary in panic. If a 6 3 mental guy just randomly tries to power slam you or someone else who knows what you'll do under pressure but if your training obviously in whatever martial art then that is more than likely what you will use. My question is are there any martial arts that are defense and nonviolent enough to use against mental patients. I though maybe jujitsu the nonbreaking stuff but the hold might be acceptable or maybe some of the joint locks from hapkido. Does anyone know a style that you could use or is this not acceptable. I do karate but obviously its all strikes and that wouldn't be. You have to hold them down for staff to get there and put them on a board that is goal or just basic defense if that attack you because I know a couple of that work there that got held down and the mental people bite there fingers off and another that got choked out tell passed out and another that got smashed with a fire extinguisher so obviously you have to have some kind of defense even when not boarding them.
  9. I have switched my workout a lot over the time I've learned how to lift. My current routine is all dumbbells. 2 days I do Day1 Bicep curls standing 6x sets Bicep Hammerx3 sets Bicep alternatex2 sets Tricep lying extensions 8 sets Standing single hand extension 4 sets Day2 Upright rows 8 sets Shoulder press with lifeline 5 sets Pushups Day 3 Squats I want to replace my dumbbell upright row with kettlebells when I can afford it.

  15. I was wondering about body conditioning and how to do this. I want to be able to take body shots and strengthen my body. Do you just let someone punch in the solar plexus a certain amount of times.
  16. I can only do 15 push ups at once on it. I'm overweight now and trying to lose weight. So a push up for me is like doing a push up with weights on my back I hope to lose weight but take advantage of the power I gain while im heavy. By the way your shorin ryu too. Mine is kenshinkan by master kise what is yours?

  19. I recently quite my weight lfting and needed something to work my muscles without as much moving and changing and I seen lifeline USA bands and decided to look into them. I bought the tnt kit with 3xr3 30 lb cables and I am about to buy a couple of 10s 20s 40s 50s and 60s and an extra handle for my girlfreind and we can do it together. I can upright row 90x16 times and shoulder press 90x8 times. I am realy into this because I realy think it is effective after the first workout my arms shoulders chest and body just shot back up and I have not even pushed myself to the limit. I will eventual post some youtube videos on here to show just how it works and just to see my max. Does anyone else do this?
  20. Im teaching my 8 year old daughter nunchaku and ordered some 8 inch foam with two inch cord to practice with. I was wondering how many chain links were on the 8 inch foam nunchaku is it 7 like normal 5 4 or? I was just wondering how many chain links are on the 8 inch foam nunchaku
  21. I used the graphite two toned nunchaku from century at my dojo. The cord was long but they seemed kinda nice if I shortened them for my kata which has moderately quick freestyle movement. It is the Double dragon kata from chakus. I was thinking about ordering two of them anyone else have them.
  22. Im happy I just got tested for my 6th kyu green for Shorin ryu kenshin kan and kubudo karate.
  23. I want a dumbbell rack that I can put two 25's 30's 35's maybe 40's I want a cheap one under 100 preferably around 50. I seen some that were cheap but said its just for dumbbells up to 25's.
