I think I have bruised the bottom of my heel. I bruised it two saturdays ago and it is still painful to put weight on it. However, I can still cartwheel and kick et al but I need it fully healed by saturday. Is there any treatment/s I can use this late in the injury development??

what do you mean by compress??? Just keep some pressure on it? -
Hi. On saturday, I bruised my heel doing backflips for Kung-fu which is bad enough. The next day, I was doing power cartwheels when I landed on the ball of my foot. I felt my leg bone kinda slide over my ankle (kind of like the bone painfully clicking) and my ankle has swollen up to nearly the size of a tennis ball. Could this be a sprain??? (Never having had one, I'm not sure what one is)

It has taken me forever It took my about 5 months of solid strching and I recently took up Kung fu so that helped alot

I never do any exercise apart from freestyle kicks and acrobatics From this I am well built, not muscly but defined I would reccomend that you just maybe get together witha friend and cheroegraph an energetic fight scene. My mate used to weigh neraly that much and he lost about two or 3 kilos in a couple of months from this One thing I would say, don't expect quick results, you must stick with it and don't give up because YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I f you want better, PROPER help then Kickchick might have some

I can finally do the front splits!!! I couldn't of done it without you guys!! thanx!!!!!! Also, I have been instructed that a good sidesplit stretch is you stand 3 shoulder widths apart and try and handwalk your upper body under your hips. Is this good??

Blue Fringe is the 1st grade in this kung fu, similar to a belt. However because I have to wear a sash like many other kung-fuers will tell you, There must be a marking somewhere else. The blue fringe is a group of 'carpet tassels' at the bottom of one length of the sash (It took the only person in my class 8 months to get erk!)

Good to see you here That's a hell of a lot of experience!! What style/s do you practise??? By the way I know what you mean. I have only one friend that I am in regular contact who does martial arts and because I am still at school we have to keep it secretive. You'll know moi because I am always in the health and fitness forum bugging people for advice on the splits!! You woudln't be able to do them...would you?

I am 16 and I have a tendency to go completely pyscho in the Gym!! I never know when to stop because I want to do as much as possible in the 1 hour 30 minutes I have. But I am usually recovered by Friday evening for my Kung Fu. Which also lasts for an hour 30 minutes ( Also, I sometimes choreograph fights with my TKD oriented friend.) Recently my Instructor has told me I have to do kickboxing to stay in the club Which is 2 hours long While I am here, can you guys do the splits and what is a TKD 4th and 5th Dan called?

Thanx I think what I may have done is made it ballistic Too fast it was because I can't really comfortably sit in it...yet but I tried bringing my head to my knee Which I did, but it hurt

I have recently been practising the front splits and I am 96.23547% there BUT. I have done something to the muscle just above and underneath the knee( not the calf) and I was wondering what-if any-stretches I could do to help me get rid of it It only happens when I kick or stretch

Guys, good to see ya. Anyhoo, I am having trouble understanding the front splits. Do both the front and back legs have to be completly on the ground?? An do you have to be 'sitting down' with hips and lower back on the floor?

Hi I do gymnastics training (freestyle) on wednesdays, Kickboxing on thursdays, and Choy Li Fut Kung Fu on saturdays! whew!! Is there any way I can make I am not all worn out so I am equally able to do all three?

Hi i have recently started choy li fut Kung fu which is southern and Northen but predominantly southern You learn the animal styles I have learnt tiger and snake style Common techniques are tiger= attack Snake= grips, sweeps etc. It is a very demanding style and you must be physically fit the splits are a VERY good requisite Kung fu also teaches weapon styles I am being trained by the British Kung fu champion so I am very lucky Good luck in your studies
