  4. I'm with ps1 on this issue. They are important, yes. It's important to do things properly as to not get injured. However, banging away at rep after rep of breakfall from a position that you will hardly ever take a fall from is an exercise in futility. Do a few, keep tuned up formally occasionally, and make sure that you or your students are conducting them properly during rolls, sparring, drilling, ect. Include it as part of the debrief on a match, ect. That will have far more effect that slamming yourself to the mat again and again.

  19. 6/21 Taught at the annual USBBA Summer Camp. Went over some stick work for my part that seemed to be well received. Also got the chance to train with some stellar Sambo guys, one of my old friends who is a Marcello Garcia brown belt and coved guard work from his school. 20. Great advice ! Yup. Let's not forget, for all the talk we do about cobat effectiveness, what's a bigger thing for most people involved in the arts is using it as a way to better themselves. It's nice when we take the time to actually allow and help people to get better. I'd try to sort out the problem. If it continues, without a hint of compromise from her, then boot her. But give her the cance to sort out whatever is causing the issue.
  21. 6/19 PTK multiple strike form review. Illustrisimo specific strike drilling.
