How many women are in prison for a violent crime? How many men are victims of these same violent crimes? To either of these questions...I don't know off the top of my head, but I surely don't want to be the next victim of a violent crime, and if I can, I'm hitting whomever as hard and purposefully as I can.

You know...if nothing else, I suppose that it would possibly greatly enhance ones resume for having been in the Olympics, and even more so if one medals, preferably gold.

I once saw a mid Dan ranked TKD practitioner that had his kids' names written in English. I only noticed it because...the three names on his left side didn't appear to be his full name, unless his middle name is Rebecca. I spoke to him briefly about it, and he confirmed to me that the three names on his belt were of his three kids. I liked that!!

Oh you're going to hate my answers: That's going to be up to you. However, I'll lend my opinions... There's never a better time to start than RIGHT NOW!! Unless, other personal, as well as professional parameters dictate otherwise. Then, the time to start is when those parameters permit, not sooner and not later, just at the right time. They always say that the best place to start is at the beginning, once the beginning is discovered. The links can be a very nice place to initiate the wanting's of said training/lessons, and then, through some searching and looking and finding, the other links begin to formulate a desired path in ones training. Hopefully, this helps some.

I greatly appreciate each and everyone's post; solid!! By the numbers above, we can see that we're pretty close to being 50%, however, everyone's experienced. These results please me, and they don't surprise me. Thank you all!!

High ranks skipping is very, very rare, imho, if the skip is a legitimate move by the Hombu and not a self-promotion for whatever that reason might be. I've been witness to very, very few skips in the lower Dan ranks, Shodan to Sandan, for example, but they've existed with the approval of our Soke. Our Soke was the only one that was ever permitted the authorization of a Dan rank skip. And believe me, when I say rare, I can count them on one hand.

Nice topic!! For me, it depends on the subject matter. I'm very comfortable with all levels of experience and I've no preference because I'm there to learn, even when I'm the one doing the teaching!!

I've tried to watch Rugby before a few times but I don't understand everything that's going on during the game. It's not the NFL and it's not suppose to be, but I'm just NFL spoiled. My fault!!

One test is just another test; the test will take care of itself. Just train, relax, and focus...you'll be fine. You've done this before, not for Sandan, but the testing itself, so don't make a mountain over an ant hill. It's a big deal but don't make it a bigger deal than what it truly is. Nerves will be your ally, and in that, you might make a mistake, but you're allowed to, and if you do, don't dwell on it. Good luck!!

I love it!! Seriously, I started when I was 7 yrs old because I was bullied at elementary school everyday. Now, I train because I love it!!
