Kirves
Well, basically, if you're not carefull with it it may be unhealthy (must drink enough, and I mean litres, gallon or something). But yes, it can, because it makes you sweat hard, and it makes you build guts against uncomfort. No matter how bad, hard it feels, you will do it. That kinda balls. But it may backfire. If you don't enjoy it, you may not stick to it and then it's bad again. So, it depends on the individual - again. It did work for Benny Urquidez, who used to turn off the air conditioning and turn up the heat for his workouts at the Jet Center.
Tombstone
For some people yes. For me no. The heat will make me tired faster.
TKDShoujo
Same here. The heat just drains all my energy. Plus, think of when you work out, you get hot eventually right? Well when you get hot, you breath heavier. If it was even hotter, would you really want to be panting for breath?? I know i wouldnt! Female- 16 years old - Brown Belt 3rd grade. Tibby
If you take care of your body, and get lots of water before and after and during, yes. Heat puts stress on your body and brain. You are not always going to gget in Air conditione well lit places when you skill comes in handy. Some tourniments maybe have a place not as nice as your studio, and you could be fighting in some hot places. When you are in a Studio, you are in a controlled area. Add in a variable, like heat, or cold, or dark, and see how much you will improve when you are in prefect climate.
Ironberg
Builds character... I vote yes. nathanjusko
lived in texas for the majority of my life and now live in southern new jersey, so i have come from a very hot and humid climate to a mild one, for me, the heat actually helps me work out harder. I HATE running in cold weather (my ears feel like they have pins in them) and it takes me longer to warm up and get into my "zone". Plus, I only feel good when I am sweating after a workout, so in the heat I have a better chance of feeling good after a workout.
White_Tiger
I live in South Georgia...it gets really hot here. I would not even run the AC in my school except I would have to hear about it from all the parents. The heat will tire you faster, and you have to really stay hydrated, but there is nothing like working out in the heat. It puts added strains on your body, and builds stamina! Try it sometime! Good Luck to all!
