GreenDragon Posted June 27, 2003 Posted June 27, 2003 There was a thread similar to this just a bit down the page in this forum called "Reasons for everyone's avatar". Since my avatar is just a visual of my screen-name, you can find the reason for my screen name and many others here: http://www.karateforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=8045&start=10 I also posted the fun personality quiz that helped me come up with my screen-name in that thread. karate_woman Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 Nothing mysterious about mine - needed a screen name and my primary martial art is karate and (yup) I'm a woman. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. -Lao-Tse
Tombstone Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 Every time I need a name for something I look around my house and use the first name that I like. I looked at my stash of movies and saw Tombstone. Simple, eh?
sansoouser Posted June 28, 2003 Posted June 28, 2003 Verb It's what I do The amateur shoots his hands out ferociously, but lacks any true power. A master is not so flamboyant, but his touch is as heavy as a mountain.
telsun Posted June 30, 2003 Posted June 30, 2003 Telsun - it means devine one that everyone wants to be like............actually it doesn't it's just my nickname from work. I worked on the Selsun line, my name is Terry. Tel is an abbreviation of Terry and everyone goes round here calling each other "son" (except me, I'm to civilized ) Hence Telsun was born. It's great. My own unique word that noone else ever uses. If you see Telsun anywhere on the net it is probably me I keep asking God what I'm for and he tells me........."gee I'm not sure!"
kchenault Posted June 30, 2003 Posted June 30, 2003 Mine is something I picked up from another board. They didn't want any pretense about who we were and I liked that idea. It is who I am. Ken ChenaultTFT - It does a body good!
Tibby Posted June 30, 2003 Posted June 30, 2003 My last name is Thibodeaux. Everyone I know, even my family, either calls me Thibodeaux or Tibby. I'm about to get "Tibby" put on my on my Training Gi.
CheekyMusician Posted June 30, 2003 Posted June 30, 2003 Well, when I was a kid (and even still now) my mum used to call me Naughty Nicky (it was the name of a mischievous monkey in a book I used to read). She used to tell me she called me it because I was her wee cheeky monkey. So I was going to call myself CheekyMonkey, but decided that was a bit cliched. I'm a musician, so decided on CheekyMusician instead. I think this is the only place I used that name. Elsewhere I usually use Stratocaster (a rubbish name that came from the fact I worked in a music shop for a week with a guy who was obsessed with Stratocasters) or Guru-On-A-Mountain. Smile. It makes people wonder what you've been up to.
