There is very little difference between walking a mile and running a mile. Sure, you lose a little more a little faster with running, but not by much. And walking is easier on the joints.

Not arguing that point. Walking 2 miles is my preferred morning routine because of shin splints and joint health. But cardio wise, running is better. And the longer you run, the bigger the difference between the two exercises become.

try alternating, run when you can, jog and walk when you are tired, the main thing is to keep your heart rate up, don't let it fall too low or your body will no lnger be in aerobic zone and no longer burning fats and calories, also try swimming.
