JKTT Posted May 24, 2003 Posted May 24, 2003 Is anyone here into gymnastics or tumbling? If so how did you go about learning the techniques when you were a beginner? I've wanted to teach myself some of the basics of gymnastics for a while now but I have no idea where or how to start (I can't even do a decent cartwheel).
Tombstone Posted May 24, 2003 Posted May 24, 2003 Is there a place that teaches it where you live? Books and videos might help also.
Looneyas Posted May 24, 2003 Posted May 24, 2003 I did gymnastics for 15 years, Master 1 move and u can then do just about any thing. Master the hand stand, I mean all gymnastics works off the handstand. I can still hold a handstand for as long as i want to without moving. Master that then work on more. monkeygirl Posted May 24, 2003 Posted May 24, 2003 Century sells the Kicknastics video/dvd series in their video library. There's three tapes, I have the first two. I've learned some pretty good moves off of them. However, for safety's sake, you'll want to try to find a qualified gymanstics instructor for the more dangerous things like handsprings and flips. 1st dan & Asst.
