Patrick Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 http://www.ifroggy.com/karateforums/forums/test.php?poll_id=3 This poll was suggested by KickChick. Please vote in the poll and then post/discuss what you voted on this thread, if you wish. I am going to go with None of the Above, because I really don't know what I like best. iamrushman Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 i may be slightly bias in my choice, but of course taekwondo for it's fast pased kicking action. boxing was not an option but i would choose that second....i have only seen fencing a few times and that is quite exciting also. rushman (karate forums sensei)3rd dan wtf/kukkiwon"saying nothing...sometimes says the most"--e. dickerson
WadoGuy Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 I voted for judo. why? because i've never actually seen olympic taekwondo. It was disappointing not to see wrestling on the poll. Is it true that they added pankration to the Pan AM/ Goodwill games?
BlueDragon Posted September 3, 2001 Posted September 3, 2001 I voted for none of the above. Watching olympic Judo and TKD is boring and fencing is just sad to watch. They should be using broadswords not the dinky ones they have now. "Excuse me while I kiss the sky" -Hendrix
thaiboxerken Posted September 4, 2001 Posted September 4, 2001 I chose none because Boxing would be my choice. Just kick 'em, they'll understand.- Me Apprentice Instructor under Guro Inosanto in Jun Fan Gung Fu and Filipinno Martial arts.Certified Instructor of Frank Cucci's Linxx system of martial arts.
muaythaidm Posted September 4, 2001 Posted September 4, 2001 I never picked anything. THe olympics should add Muay Thai. If they did I would have voted for that.
Joecooke007 Posted November 26, 2001 Posted November 26, 2001 I am disapointed that karate is not shown on tv during the olympics. Boards don't hit back. -Bruce Lee
3rdanblack Posted April 16, 2002 Posted April 16, 2002 Oh stop you're whining all of you!! He said was is your favorite olympic Martial Art Event, not what SHOULD be there. Now that we got that out of the way, I was told the rules of Olympic TKD were being redone, For example jump spinning kicks to the head would be 5 points and feet to the head is 2. So if a fighter is down by 3, odds are things are going to get exciting real fast. GO TKD. I've put my instep through 5 boards, are you that thick?
spinninggumby Posted April 16, 2002 Posted April 16, 2002 When modern wushu becomes an Olympic sport, I will vote for that one 'Conviction is a luxury for those on the sidelines'William Parcher, 'A BEAUTIFUL MIND'
ramcalgary Posted April 17, 2002 Posted April 17, 2002 i pick boxing Honor is the most important thing a man has once you lose it it is gone forever
