BlueDragon Posted September 1, 2001 Posted September 1, 2001 Try running on asphalt without shoes. It worked for me. "Excuse me while I kiss the sky" -Hendrix

Goose Posted September 1, 2001 Posted September 1, 2001 Hi, I like to walk around bare footed, as a means of hardening the soles of my feet. Be careful about where you go walking, though. When I was younger, I used to do a lot of hiking. I used to bathe my feet in something to toughen them, can't remember what it was though. _________________ Best Wishes Darryl Garrick 9th Kyu Shotokan Karate Karate International Black Belt Schools (UK) [ This Message was edited by: Goose on 2001-09-01 13:05 ] Goose6th Kyu Shotokan Karate9th Kyu Okinawan KobudoKarate International Black Belt Schools (UK)
Valn Posted September 1, 2001 Posted September 1, 2001 Yeah you may get blisters once in a while but it's part of the game.

Kickbutt Posted September 1, 2001 Posted September 1, 2001 Yep - all part of the game I'm afraid! I wasn't too impressed either, and it hurt like hell but you've just got to get used to it. Karateka_latino Posted September 2, 2001 Posted September 2, 2001 yes, I think you have to do your barefoot walking and all that stuff. and even with that, once in a while you will get blisters.. as kickbutt says.. you have to get use to them.
Richard Posted September 2, 2001 Author Posted September 2, 2001 Thanks guys! I will try walking barefoot a little more often. Good tip! Thanks
ts757 Posted September 2, 2001 Posted September 2, 2001 I got blisters once. but that wasnt from training. it was from a 12 mile (20 km) walk.
