monkeygirl Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Good luck! 1st dan & Asst. Instructor TKD 2000-2003No matter the tune...if you can rock it, rock it hard.
SaiFightsMS Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Plan on getting a good nights sleep the second night before the test. Often people are too nervous to sleep well the night before. Pack your gym bag the night before too so that nothing gets left behind.
KickChick Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Just remember .... it is absolutely normale to be nervous ...(to a degree) Just don't let it devour you! Practice constantly.. and when you are not physically practicing, practice visually. I know I am not alone in this. I run through my test as if I were playing a video in my mind.... except I choose as to how well I am doing in it and my version of an ending. It works! I also run through all my forms this way too ... (usually in my sleep,....) works like counting sheep
ramymensa Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 Works like a charm Visualise yourself doing katas/forms and doing all the stuff in the exam, like others said. I though it's a waste of time, but it really works You can see if you forgot a technique and you are able to correct any mistakes. Then you'll be more confident and it would eventually be OK. Good luck and be CONFIDENT. It's also a "war of nerves". Don't show too much emotion and act as if you are a 761347 dan BB World Shotokan Karate
kchenault Posted March 7, 2003 Posted March 7, 2003 I don't have any words of advice because I suffer from TTSS (Test Traumatic Stress Syndrome) as well. I always have a brain fart and draw a blank on something. Everytime! Good Luck! Pilsung! Ken ChenaultTFT - It does a body good!
