Jack
Yes but it could also damage and stunt growth.. you're fine you're 6'2", but I'm 5'6" and I am growing quite quickly at the moment. BlueDragon
I am 5'9, 80 kilos and 15. I have spoken with my doctor concerning wieghtlifting and he says there is no danger of my growth being stunted. He did advice me that putting alot of pressure on the spine could result in alot of problems down the road. P.S. My record for bench press stands at 110kilos but I won't be trying to break that any time soon. "Excuse me while I kiss the sky" -Hendrix
dtstiachi
I don't think lifting will hurt your brother or anyone at a young(er) age. I would take caution however, to be mindful of their body. It will be changing and an injury now could have disasterous consequences down the road. Be careful and have a good time getting stronger. Mr Pockets
At the age of 14 lifting weights is fine. However, don't go pushing it to extremes- you're young! Better to start lifting by building a good muscular base on which you would later build serious muscle. Wait a while until you've been lifting and seeing good results to really start going super heavy.
