kchenault Posted December 18, 2002 Posted December 18, 2002 Not true! I have seen many people who have achieved the splits after the age of 18. Goto https://www.fitzness.com Fitz has a good article on stretching and lots of other stuff. Also try the Martial Arts Presents....Workouts magazine. This month has a good article on stretching and the stretches don't seem too hard on the joints....something us 30 somethings have to worry about. Big thing, relax and take it slow or you'll pull something, like a groin muscle or hamstring. Pilsung! Ken ChenaultTFT - It does a body good!
KickChick Posted December 18, 2002 Posted December 18, 2002 I could never do a split as a teenager! I'm over 40 and can do both a side and front split, with the help of this guys book! http://www.stadion.com/question_stretching.html btw... Mr. Kurz is over 40 also and I posted some pics in the celeb section of KF Photo Album
Radok Posted December 18, 2002 Posted December 18, 2002 geez! she's hot! sorry. That's got some good articles. especially the one about training when you don't want to. If you can't laugh at yourself, there's no point. No point in what, you might ask? there's just no point. Many people seem to take Karate to get a Black Belt, rather than getting a Black Belt to learn Karate.
