Bulltahr Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 OK So I have a Japan made Tokaido 12 oz gi that has greyed considerably, has coloured belt stains and dirt type stains on knees and backside. Any recommendations on getting it back into a presentable condition? "We don't have any money, so we will have to think" - Ernest Rutherford
Nidan Melbourne Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I use Napisan Oxi-Action which whitens the gi very nicely especially if it has grayed or has stains in.
Bulltahr Posted May 24, 2016 Author Posted May 24, 2016 Thanks man I'll try it out. Some of these stains have been there for a while..... "We don't have any money, so we will have to think" - Ernest Rutherford
Nidan Melbourne Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 If you go for the Napisan probably let you gi soak in it prior to sticking it in the washing machine. I had to do it when i had to get some blood out of my gi
Bulltahr Posted May 25, 2016 Author Posted May 25, 2016 Wow, some really stubborn stains, soaked scrubbed it in, heavy duty wash and no go, stains have been there quite a while, might need some toxic assistance..... "We don't have any money, so we will have to think" - Ernest Rutherford

I know some of those really stubborn stains you would need to do it over a course of several washes to try and get it out. Probably wouldn't recommend Bleach, because i did and it kind of destroyed my gi. Maybe my bad because I may have used the wrong one.
