Safroot
first of all Welcome to KF.My situation was exactly like you I started my MA journey with Kyokushin karate when I was 31. Stretching, Stretching, Stretching is the answer & every now & again you will get this kind of aches & soreness but that's OK.you will be able to know if such pain is injury or soreness ... believe me you will "The Martial Arts begin with a point and end in a circle." Hawkmoon
hehehe!Welcome to Body Biology 101 Martial Arts style!(BBMA)What is BBMA ?The science of 'sudden discovery of body parts and/or areas you never new you had that suddenly hurt' ... and the do hurt don't they?LOL!Warm baths, a days rest between sessions is strongly advised, and a steady pace, its not a rush never was a rush. After a while as you note the aches reduce, become less and less pronounced or noticed, in time you'll not notice anything and feel 'that much better' for it as well, that is when you step up a gear!one not two or three, just one! “A human life gains luster and strength only when it is polished and tempered.”Sosai Masutatsu Oyama (1923 - 1994) Founder of Kyokushin Karate.
