Have you previously injured a joint or muscle?

Which do you prefer to use to stabilize the joint/muscle a brace or strapping tape?

I have used both previously in the past and alternate between both.

I just like to find out what you all prefer or use.

When I dislocated my knee, I used an adjustable ACE brand brace with steel spring supports on the sides. After a while, I switched to a plain neoprene sleeve until I could get back to training without one.

Currently suffering an inflamed achilles... and have done ankles, knees, elbows etc. over the years.

A good neoprene support usually does ok with me. I prefer the greater flexibility compared to strapping. Never done anything as bad as Wastelander like a dislocation though.

I keep both tape and a tensor bandage in my bag if I need it for a short period. However, if I injure something a little more seriously then I usually buy a specific brace for it, so I'm getting a nice little collection.
