rabid hamster
lol, ya being 75 pounds is kinda skinny unless you're like 4 ft. well just eat healthy and since you can't really do much exercise, just exercise your upperbody like i said before. and since we're on the subject.. do you guys think it's a safe/realistic goal to try to lose 40 pounds by September 1st? summer just started so homework won't get in the way either. hehe i could train all day if i wanted to too. searcher
If you really want to lose weight you are deffinately going to need to exercise. You can do a wide variety of exercises to build your upper body and any muscle as all will help you lose body fat. If putting pressure on it still hurts go swimming it requires little pressure on your ankles. Try to do some rehab on your ankle to help strengthen it, this will also help burn calories and it will help your ankle a lot. Food should be regulated by what you eat and not how much of course if you eat like a pig you will turn into one. Eat a lot of veggies and low fat meats, do not take in calories from the things you drink. This means drink only water and limit your caffeine intake. Bitseach
Current advice for ankle recovery is usually to use it as much as you can without pain (after the initial injury period, when it should be Rested, Iced, Compressed and Elevated (RICE). If you try to swim you will probably lose some weight - and at the GENTLE rate that doesn't adversely affect your health! - but you might over-extend a sensitive joint. One possibility is to swim just using your arms, if you are able. Either let your legs trail behind you in the water, or keep a "float" clamped between your thighs - much easier for front crawl than breast stroke, during which you tend to bob up and down a bit. Another possible exercise that you could do is cycling, pref on a static bike in the gym in case you end up in pain and have to stop - you don't want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere! I'd avoid rowing until your ankle mobility is improved. To aid in this, as I'm sure your doctor has suggested, sit on your bed with both feet extended over the edge and make both feet draw big circles in the air - as big as possible without moving the legs. You can then compare the good and bad sides and ensure that the ankle heals without losing too much movement. Do not do this to the point of pain or you will set back your progress. Eat sensibly - don't snack on cola and chocolate but have a little if you fancy it. At your age you should be eating sensible quantities of sensible foods. Don't cut out fat completely from your diet - some fats are essential to your health and recovery. Do as your granny probably would advise and have some cod liver oil every day to help recovery and ease inflammation in the joint. Don't have too much or you will be rushing to the loo the whole time! Lots of fruit and vegetables too. If you do this you will NOT lose the weight that you suggest in the time that you suggest, but you should lose some weight and maintain fitness at a sensible level instead. As others have pointed out, your current goals are both unrealistic and unhealthy! Good luck and I hope you ankle is better soon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~My karma will run over your dogma~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Deirou Kuzan
Eh, what job do you do? I'd say you are in danger from this is you continue losing 10 pounds every week haha. But I doubt it, wouldn't you also gain muscle? Life is as dear to a mute creature as it is to man. Jack
Well done, just be careful of losing too much. I think a fair amount of the weight lost is water however - if one has 0% bodyfat, water is still very capable of making the individual look fat and bloated. Still good job, just hope the loss of weight slows a little so you're losing fat and not too much muscle. Don Gwinn
I used to lose between 4 and 8 pounds every DAY in football three-a-day practices. These are days when you do three hours, take an hour off, do another hour and a half (mostly running, "shells" only and only very light hitting and then another three hours in the afternoon. I could verify this by weighing myself in the morning and again after the last practice. I would go home, drink a gallon of water at a sitting and gain it all back. Then I'd drink smaller amounts throughout the evening. I weighed about 260 at the time, though, and I'm one of those sweaty people regardless of weight. ____________________________________* Ignorant Taekwondo beginner.http://www.thefiringline.com
KenpoChick87120
hey, I'm 13 too. I weigh 140 though and I'm only 5 4!!! When I found out that I was way way obese like 2 weeks ago, I was 150. I just started not realy eating. I have a slimfast for lunch and dinner and an apple and glass of water in between. Its worked well thus far but I think I hit a plateu or somthing. I can't seem to loose anymore. So this past week I started running too. I run 4 miles 2wice a week and 2 miles every day I'm not running more. I also do some situps, pushups, jumping jacks, hindu pushups, squats...etc. You're only young once; you can be immature forever.
