KNOCKuOUT Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I want to know what you guys think the best exercises are to burn fat around the abs are. I'm trying to get in better shape and feel that is one area I need to focus on. I'm open to any good ideas! Even a full body workout to minimize overall body fat percentage. Let me know what you think. I recently have been trying to do more jump roping but I feel like it takes a toll on my shins if I do it everyday.
G95champ Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I need to do more but the simple answer is.RUNgross I know but RUN, RUN and RUN. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
lordtariel Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 There's really no way to reduce fat in target areas. I really wish there was. Best way to go is exercise and diet. I've also heard that muscle building works well to lose weight because you're augmenting your metabolism. There's no place like 127.0.0.1
KNOCKuOUT Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 Yea, I've heard by gaining muscle you loss fat, since muscle eats away at fat in order to maintain itself. And I mean I do enjoy lifting to keep up my strength. I just need some really good ideas to get a good cardio workout going to. So I'm open to any suggesions.
nine_weapons Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 you cannot spot reduce fat. the body will just lose where it wants. The only thing you can do to assist it is maintain proper diet and exercise. Genetics will determine the rest. In general, for men, abdominal fat tends to go away faster than other areas. One way to get motivated to it is to pick a 5K(if you're new to running) or 10K race(if you run already) a couple months in advance and sign up for it. Make it your goal to be able to run the entire thing or to complete it by a certain time. There are many programs out there to get you up to running a 5K or 10K in a few months.Swimming is another good exercise because it's a whole body workout on top of cardio as opposed to running which is primarily a lower body workout. Swimming also has the added benefit of being low-impact. Running can cause havoc with your knees and ankles. Also, a swim suit is much cheaper than a good pair of running shoes. KNOCKuOUT Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 Sounds good. What I tried out today was doing my cardio after I lifted. It wasn't that bad since I decided not to kill myself on the treadmill afterwards. Next time I will push myself a little farther. I feel like it was a good workout for days that I'm not training on.

I don't know if it is true or not, though. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
