Hi. Im a 17 year old male and i kinda lacked much physical excercise as a kid, so im very unflexible right now. I would like to change this fact. Can anyone give me some good excercises and how often i should do them? Doumo arigatou

Make sure to get warmed up really good. If you aren't doing a MA class that night, get on a bike or a treadmill for 20 minutes. Then, work spits to the front and each side. Also work seated stretches, with one leg extended, and the other tucked to the inside of the stretched leg. Butterfly stretch is good, too. Standing with feet together, and bend at the waist, try to touch your toes.

These are just a few examples. Hold each stretch for around 1 minute if you can, and do 3 reps of each.

In my school we actually do a stretching routine call White Form. It's from Long Fist Kung Fu I believe. I enjoy it alot. It's supposed to realign your body while stretching out your muscles. I feel like I get a really good leg stretch from it in particular.

What is the White form? If it is to hard to explain how to do them then do you know of anywhere online that I can learn it from?

Unfortunately it is alot to explain and I don't know of anywhere online yet, but I will def. try and find it for you. I think it is the best stretching routine I have ever experienced.

No problem. If you want I could try to describe some of the beginning stretches since they are fairly simple. Just let me know.
