Latest training injury?

I punched the heavy bag wrong the other day and hurt my left wrist, even though it was wrapped. Today I aggravated it shoveling snow. Luckily my class was canceled tonight for snow and ice, so I won't be punching anything. I hope it is healed by Saturday.

I HATE :x when niggling little injuries (or big ones) affect my training.

What's your latest injury or illness that may affect your training?

I was practicing a break for a demo and the person holding the boards flinched and lowered and angled the board so I smashed up my hand pretty good. Maybe I should ask if I can do my tonfa before the break in the demo. :)

injured my wrist a few weeks ago doing a hook on a new set of tai pads, totally stupid. Wrapping it is helping. Got kicked in the calf muscle badly,,and keep reinjuring it everytime I do tai kicks. It's been one challenge after another. I've been in a crappy mood for weeks due to the asmtha and heart related stuff. :bawling:

And yet we keep going back for more!

I wrapped my wrist tightly today and it didn't bother me, even with strong punching. Hips were better, too.

Sometimes being forced into a few days off helps our bodies out more than we realize, eh?

Talk about silly little niggling injuries! :kaioken: Tonight i was stood leaning against the brick wall in the dojo with my hands behind my back. If you look at your wrist, on the oppasite side of the bottom of your thumb there is a tiny little bone. Well somehow i don't know how, i kinda pushed myself away from the wall and hurt that bone, it is now very sore and a little swollen, i'm even finding it difficult to type because it's rubbing against my desk. Do you guys know where im reffering to? It's difficult to explain :D

It's annoyed me because i wasn't sparring or anything, just standing there! The wall did it!!!

That sucks! :kaioken:

I'm with ya, brother. On my birthday in Nov 2005, I tripped over my cat on the stairs and sprained my ankle. ON my birthday! It's the same ankle I've hurt four times previously. Damn cat just looked at me howling. I could tell she was laughing.
