When practicing Nunchaku, it is best not to stand under lights....seriously; I have broken more lights that way. :-P

I keep a little notepad in my bag. If there's something I learned that I feel is important enough to write down, I'll do it after class before I change. Otherwise, I'll add it to my training blog when I get home.

I save the important stuff in a .doc file and update it when I get home. I don't keep an exact training log but just put down the important stuff that was said/done in classes.

I keep a notebook and have encouraged my students to do the same. I also require a training journal when they reach red belt.

I have a file on my computer that I keep notes in when i get home fom class.

I find that there is always something I can add to it

I will usually take notes after a class, if there was something that struck my fancy. I do have a big 3-ring binder at home, with all kinds of class planners, workouts, articles, and things like that in it.

Lately, as me and my friends have been doing Combat Hapkido, I have been taking a lot of notes in and out of the lessons. I am learning a lot, and sometimes won't retain any details. So, I write down what I can.

I usually write down important info right after class. Also, I have a three-ring binder with lots of information in it, from articles of interest to forms that I have drawn out.
