patusai Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 You are all correct, yet I disagree with you all. An occasional glass of scotch or well-crafted beer with a good cigar contributes to your spiritual well-being. All becomes clear. Haven't you seen the end of each episode of Boston Legal? Scotch! Oh yes, it indeed does do wonders...in moderation of course. "Don't tell me the sky's the limit because I have seen footprints on the moon!" -- Paul Brandt

Fish Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 The health risks and deficits associated with smoking are now well known, yet, surprisingly, people continue to kid themselves that it won't affect them adversely. However, most of the people I know who have smoked for any time regret starting. My own view is that you will never achieve your full potential in any sport if you smoke (by which I mean, if you're a regular smoker). However good you are, you could always do better if you quit.
