bushido_man96
You could work your triceps and biceps in the weight room, to get some size. Tricep stength will help with pushups. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Shotokan-kez
So is it all about arm strength then? To be able to do push ups? Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
bushido_man96
So is it all about arm strength then? To be able to do push ups?No, push-ups is about arm strength, shoulder strength, and chest strength, or endurance, I should say, in general. Also, I don't think doing lots and lots of push-ups will make you tone up or bulk you up, either. I have heard that a lot of what doing push-ups is about it muscle memory and endurance. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
MizuRyu
Hold the pushup position with your arms slightly bent. Once that gets easy, do them very slowly. Just keep building onto that. The only real way to excel at something is to repeat the action you're trying to excel at. It takes a lot of time for your body to get used to such things; patience is the primary ingredient in bodybuilding. When I started Tang Soo Do, I couldn't do 10 pushups myself. That was 2 1/2 years ago, and now I can pull 4 sets of 40. It just takes time and effort, like all other goals in life. TheUSPS
Will jumping rope"Not Girl style of course" help build arm strenght as well?
bushido_man96
Will jumping rope"Not Girl style of course" help build arm strenght as well?I don't really think so. The arms will get used to the motion after a while, and I don't think there will be a noticible strength increase. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
BLOWN
Grabbing some bag gloves and working a heavy bag is a great way to shape/tone the muscles in your arms. -Blown -Pain Is Weakness Leaving The Body.-It's Not The Size Of The Dog In The Fight, But The Size Of The Fight In The Dog. bushido_man96
You can do push-ups with a wider space between your hands, and the elbows bending perpindicular to your body. This will work your chest more, in my experience. If you keep your hands just outside your shoulders, and bend your elbows parallel to your body, you will hit the triceps more; this is how I like to do them. https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
