Fosgate Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 You're better off than I am! Over 2 years ago I took a ball of the foot to a hand in a chopping position. My pinkie, which was straight as a board of course, was jammed horribly but didn't break. Since then, 100% function had returned but the finger is still deformed! TANG SOO!

Fosgate, I've had the same thing happen on both of my pinkies, though they were indeed broken, with one dislocated at a 90 degree angle. Ouch.I would have preferred a clean break! That way I could have at least set it straight and maybe it would have healed the same. TANG SOO!

Shotokan-kez Posted November 4, 2006 Author Posted November 4, 2006 Oh dear, i am so glad i wasnt that serious! I wouldn't have hated to have broken it and been out of training for longer. I was very lucky i guess that i was only out of training for a week, then no fighting for a week. Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
Shotokan-kez Posted December 1, 2006 Author Posted December 1, 2006 I don't believe this i have done it again The exact same finger on the same hand. It has swelled like a balloon and this time i felt like crying My guess is that it hadn't completely healed from the first time, it's agony, and this time i had to sit from the rest of the class Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk

You need to bag up that hand and hide it from the world until it is healed! Then, make sure you close your fists up tight when you spar from now on! https://www.haysgym.comhttp://www.sunyis.com/https://www.aikidoofnorthwestkansas.com
Shotokan-kez Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 I know Brian it's just pure habbit, and when i block kicks my forearms get bashed and bruised when i block with a fist. When we do our basic kumite step sparring we always block kicks with open hands.I'm in pain this morning i can barely move it. I have it taped up again! GGGrrrr i'm so annoyed now and frustrated. Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
