Patrick Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 Sorry to hear that. Glad it's not worse, though. Desparado Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 I also hurt my fingers (left hand: ring and middle finger) while sparring. I tried taping them together but it seemed to just make it worse (I took the tape off after a week and I couldn't bend my fingers without agonizing pain). It's alot better now (after 9 months) but they're not completely healed. A fellow karateka also had a similar injury and it took over a year to completely heal.
Shotokan-kez Posted October 26, 2006 Author Posted October 26, 2006 My finger is getting much better now, it still hurts a little when i bend or straighten it. I had it taped up for just over a week but luckily it didnt hurt any more than it already did when i first injured it. I just tape it up for karate now and just sit out of sparring. Walk away and your always a winner. https://www.shikata-shotokan.co.uk
