RichardHangHong
Hi guys,I need some advice. I was in a tournament a couple of weeks ago and got a rather bruised forearm and shin that also got scraped up a bit.In the past I'm sure I used to heal pretty quickly but 2 weeks on the bruises still look pretty nasty and are tender if they get hit.Is there anything I can do/use to help them heal faster now and to get bruising to heal quicker in the future like it used to?Any advice would be much appreciated.ThanksRichard Richard Hang HongChief InstructorSeitou Ryu KarateFind me on Facebook!Seitou Ryu Karate

RichardHangHong
Cheers Kez,I'm going to the pharmacy later so I'll see if I can pick some up. I heard arnica (sp?) is supposed to be good for bruises but I've no idea what it is, some sort of cream? ninjanurse
Arnica is a homeopathic remedy great for bruises and muscle aches. It usually comes in small pills. You may need to go to a whole foods or health food type store to get it. Sohan
Try warm compresses. They will speed up healing and help eliminate the dead blood cells from the tissue.I have found that I heal better in the days after severe bruising with an added dose of Vitamin C as well. With respect,Sohan "If I cannot become one of extraordinary accomplishment, I will not walk the earth."
