Radok Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 (edited) How much can everyone bench press? I only do 170, but I'm only 14: gimme a break Edited August 24, 2002 by Radok If you can't laugh at yourself, there's no point. No point in what, you might ask? there's just no point. Many people seem to take Karate to get a Black Belt, rather than getting a Black Belt to learn Karate.
tigerstyle18 Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 I bench press about 240 but I'm constantly working out and getting stronger. Hopefully in 1 1/2 years I'll be at 300. When two tigers fight, one dies and the other is mortally wounded.
tigerstyle18 Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 By the way Radok, 155-160 is really impressive for a 14 year old. I didn't start lifting till I was 16. When two tigers fight, one dies and the other is mortally wounded.
Dbzhub Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 im 15 and i can only bench 115, 130 if i really really push myself and have a lot of energy. god im so fat and out of shape i should be able to bench at least 180 by now. Do or do not, there is no try
G95champ Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 Back in the fall before football season I hit 330 I am down to about 315 now. I stoped lifting for a few months durring season and never got back to about the first of march. Its not weight its techinque. The wight you put ont he bar don't mean a thing uness you do it with good form and breath right. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
Blade13 Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 Im 15, and I bench about 250 or so. It will probably be going up by the end of the week cuz I havent checked my max in about 2 weeks. So it will probably be about 255 or 260. *shrugs*
muaythaidm Posted April 30, 2002 Posted April 30, 2002 What do you weigh also? My personel best is 70 pounds over my weight. When I weighted 140lbs last year i benched 210lbs. But benching isn't that important, squating is ten times more important i think.
G95champ Posted April 30, 2002 Posted April 30, 2002 Try cleans thats a total body lift. (General George S. Patton Jr.) "It's the unconquerable soul of man, and not the nature of the weapon he uses, that ensures victory."
TKD_McGee Posted April 30, 2002 Posted April 30, 2002 It all depends on how much you weigh. I weight 145-150 (fluctuates) and can bench 150, in 15-20 reps. I never go for maximum weight because it dosent mean anything. So you can bench 300 lbs once, wow what good does that do for you? Except stress your muscles and boost your ego. Do unto others, as they done to you.
Iron Arahat Posted April 30, 2002 Posted April 30, 2002 I weigh 165lbs and Benchpress 265lbs during my workout. 3-5 Sets 10-15 reps. Martial Arts School http://www.shaolinwushu.cahttp://www.liveyyc.comCalgary Photographer: http://www.jdirom.com
