aefibird
Anyone here watch Doctor Who? If so, please vote on the poll and let us know your favourite Doctor. It was the last episode of the current series last night here in the UK - wow, what an ending! I can't wait for the Christmas Special, I'm dying to know how the woman in the bride's dress got into the TARDIS! "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." KarateK
I have to stayt with the current David Tennant so far, maybe its because of my generation but I love his cheeky, quiryk, kind of sexiness?!?! I know I'm oddIs that Katherine Tate in the tardis on the last ep? It looked like her! I feel for the new sidekick - (whats her name?) she will have a lot to live up to with the fans, Rose Tyler was quite popular Karate Ni Sentinashi
aefibird
Yes it is Catherine Tate, but I'm not bovvered to see her there. CT is only in the Christmas Special, the new companion (Freema Agyeman who is playing Martha Jones) will be introduced from the start of the next series.Well, I'm 27, so most of the Doctors were before my time anyway, but there's just something about Tom Baker that I like. I can't believe that no one else on here apart from me and KK watches/has watched Doctor Who??!! I know it airs in the US/Canada, so surely someone on here must watch it? "Was it really worth it? KarateK
I was thinking last night - why is Rose any different to any of his other companions - the old doctors never cried when they left - and am sure he was about to say I love you when they were saying the tearful goodbye. Was it written like that as the audience always wants some love story nowadays or was she different? Karate Ni Sentinashi
topdawg
I don't know his name but my dad got me into the Dr with the wild curly hair and the long scarf. kivikala
Being a Dr Who fan from way back (I still have my holographic Dr Who Fan Club of America membership card and official Dr Who Fan Club mood button!) I still watch the show whenever it is aired. The new series I think is pretty good and has renewed my interest. As for my fav Dr.? Well, Petwee I think was pretty good, but I guess I really liked them all! I used to work for Digital Equipment Corp and I was in charge of the corporate network. All the other network engineers were into naming systems "Bilbo", Frodo" and "Gandalf". I would hear nothing of it. I named the three primary corporate DECnet domain servers "DrWho", "Tardis" and "Dalek". Over ten years 30,000 to much as 70,000 computers defined their existance from those 3 systems. When the company finally folded, I collected the engraved name plates off of the machines and have them on display as a fond reminder of those years. Even now in the future my 2 PCs are named "Tardis" (Ubuntu) and "Dalek" (Windows). Apt no? Me? a Dr Who fan? Naw.... Now where did I put my scarf? solar_kid
I liked the old Doctor Who shows, but around here they showed on public television so sporadically, it was never possible to really watch it with regularity. SciFi channel here just finished airing the first new season of Doctor Who... so, we've only seen the latest Doctor for all of five seconds! ----Hmm. Hello. This is the floor. How did I get here? patusai
I started watching years ago when they were on Public TV. In Chicago it was on Wttw on Sunday nights. My favorites were Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker. Of them I suppose my favoriate was Tom Baker with Patrick Troughton second. SiFi has a new series on now and ti is pretty good but I still like the older versions a little better. I also enjoyed the specials when all of the doctors up to the point of the special were all in the special. As for Doctor Who in general...both new and old...Good stuff !!!!! Love the PC naming...I shall have to call mine "TARDIS" as it is prone to crashing, doesn't always do what I ask it and responds best to a well-aimed thump. However, my PC isn't half as loveable as a Type 40...Glad to see I'm not the only DW obsessive on here. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..."
