OldRookie Posted March 21, 2002 Posted March 21, 2002 I have been stretching every day for about the past 2 months & man my calves always feel as though they are the brink of cramping and- quite often do. I know about extra pottasium to help prevent cramps at night but I am wondering if my old carcass is going to adjust to stretching, or is it "normal" to keep having these "charlie horses"...? *1st Dan Oct 2004*"Progress lies not enhancing what is, but in advancing toward what will be.""It is better to deserve honors and not have them than to have them and not deserve them."
ramcalgary Posted March 21, 2002 Posted March 21, 2002 normal from another old guy...take care to drink enough fluids. Remember it takes time to regain flexability. Allow time for your muscles to recover after a hard stretch. When in doubt read some of Bill Superfoot Wallaces info on stretching. YODA Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 Ad - we're talking (or I am) about development stretching, not maintenance or warm up stretching. TKD_McGee Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 How bout you try taking Vitamins? Vitamins prevent muscle strain and shaking... they also have some elements that can help you stretch better.. A Basic Multivitamin can do this for you. Do unto others, as they done to you.
