Luckykboxer Posted July 4, 2004 Posted July 4, 2004 kind of funny you mention breaking it yourself. I would estimate my nose has been broken over 50 times. luckily for me the first time it was broken it was broken on such a clean line that it seems every time since it has broken on the same line, has made it really easy to reset it myself... get that nice eyes watering and want to smack your head into a wall right after i do it, but at least i dont have to go see the doctor every time.. sure it isnt exactly straight, but i seriously doubt without major reconstructive surgery it would be completely straight anyways
RaidenTB Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 50 times and fixing it yourself... I'm speechless... Thankfully I'm without any major scars and bruises at the moment. But had my share during the winter time Imagination is more important than knowledge.
GrrrArg Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 Lol mine kinda goes off too one side a bit. It gets either a bit better or a bit worse everytime it gets broken.. Nearly did it again in class yesterday, getting a bit paranoid that everyone wants to break it. Then again, even paranoid people have enemies..
aefibird Posted July 5, 2004 Posted July 5, 2004 Grrr, you're not paranoid. They really are after you... "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My CologneSheffield Steelers!
WhiteBelt Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 I thought about breaking it myself but then I got a GF who happens to like the way it is now. If I broke it she would 'feel the pain' too and then kick my *** for good measure.
aefibird Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 Well done White Belt, you've passed the first test of any relationship - doing what your girlfriend says! "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." The Beautiful South - The Rose of My CologneSheffield Steelers!
Rotten Head Fok Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 Just hips, thighs, and calfs are soar from stances, but it's getting to be less and less, which is a good thing. You must be stable and balanced in your foot work, if you have to use your martial knowledge in combat, your intent should be to win. If you do strike, you must release great power! The martial arts are easy to learn, but difficult to correct.
Luckykboxer Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 lol AefiBird All i can say is thank god for the weekend. I havent had this many bruises in a long time, I was informed last night that i am fighting in a jiu jitsu tournament at the begining of August That at least explains why i have been getting worked hard the last two weeks
aefibird Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 This week's latest injury... A chipped ankle bone, thanks to my instructor and his deadly sweep techniques. Ouch! Because of another demonstration on "guinea-pig me", by Sensei, I've also got bruised black-and-blue legs, because of kicks to the thighs and knees. Bah, why did I choose martial arts instead of something safer, such as, oooh, lion taming for example?? "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." Kieran-Lilith Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 Ummm....concussion, dunno how bad it is. I know I'm missing time slots from the past two days though, I'm supposing that's a bad thing?
