Ironberg
Another week, another set of bruises, bumps, and tendon strains. Last week I spranged an ankle. This week I bruised my heel and twisted a knee. Gotta love contact sports. I don't know. I've been getting more and more nuisance injuries than before. Anyone else feel the same? WhiteBelt
Just changed gyms recently, and have to cut back on the weights to adjust to the heavier work load. Added neck training, more endurance core work, and tripled rope work. I feel like I'm going to tip over if I try to deadlift.
Ironberg
That's one things I've been fortunate with: very few weight lifting injuries. But, it probably explains why I'm so bad at it. WhiteBelt
Sorry, I meant MT gym. But I haven't had any weight related injuries.
aefibird
It seems that hardly a week goes by when I've not accumulated yet another niggly little injury. However, that's just me. I'm just a klutz. GrrrArg
I went away and couldn't train for two months. The benefit being that most those niggling little injuries that all MA's pick up and carry for a while, went away. Unfortunatley so did the tough skin on the bottom of my feet. First couple of proper training sesions when I got back were absolute hell.
WhiteBelt
It's probably best that you take one week, every one to two months, to train light. It will give your body some time to recover, which is especially true when you lift weights and train. Just cut the workload in half, and don't eat like a pig. angelica d
I'm always catching my fingers when sparring, its always my own fault though. Nothing MA-related this week though...yet. This is a bit irrelevant, but the other day my fiance's dog walked over my face when I was lying on the sofa, and I got a big scratch down my cheek like a bad guy in a Bond film!!!
