Hoju Posted January 16, 2004 Posted January 16, 2004 Not as many as I'd like. I'll definitely secord this statement. I tried it tonight (after I was warmed up in class) and got up to 45 before my arms all but gave out. They were the 90 degree bends, back straight, proper kind. I was a little surprised; I thought I'd be able to do more. Another goal for this year: more pushups.
Terriator Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 normally i only do 40 at a time, but if i go all out i can take about 120-130 Never think that Karate is practiced only in The Dojo. granmasterchen Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 back in my training days i could do 500.....that was way back though.....and now i could probably do 100 or so.... That which does not destroy me will only make me stronger
Tring Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 I think i can do about 55 ish then i will full But my teacher all way pruchs us to the limet and makes us do about 70!!!! But how many Sit ups can you do? Novice
Drunken Monkey Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 hmm, never really gave it much thought. i currently do sets of 15 then change hand positions. three hand positions so that's 45. then little break. i try for 3 sets of these but usually give up during the third. i guess about a hundred.... ...give or take ten.... post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
stl_karateka Posted January 27, 2004 Posted January 27, 2004 I also had to do 100 pushups for my bb test. Don't know how I managed to pull that one off --- and that was less than 30 seconds after the 5 mile run --- just enough time to get the shoes and socks off and drop! I'm pretty sure some of them where sloppy The worst was my knuckles kept slipping cause of the sweat. ugh KarateForums.com Sempai

patusai Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 It's been a while so...I tried it. Now my (right) shoulder is in a bit of pain because I wanted to reach a certain mumber so that I could answer somewhat respectably. What did I learn from this? Next time I'll be guesstimating.
